Just named the starter at Mississippi State, so it will be interesting to see how he does down there.
I definitely think this adds a bit of a wrinkle to this year for Franklin... If Stevens does well at MSU and Clifford struggles, you know everyone will be extremely critical of how JF handled the QB situation. I don't think Clifford will struggle, but it's out there.
Good luck to Tommy, I am glad he got the starting nod there. Even though he transferred I am still hoping he does well. Same for Moorhead, I want to see him do well also, I appreciate what he did for our offense.
All that said, my expectation for Tommy Stevens is that he will have a pretty good year... though he will struggle at times with staring down receivers and against better defenses he'll throw some INTs. I believe that's why they weren't willing to give him the starting position here, he was great with all the physical tools but reading a defense has where he struggled.

My only concern about him starting this year at PSU was injuries. He seemed to have a number of injuries but not a lot of playing time. A risk of the game – everyone could be one play away from an injury.
I am glad Tommy got picked to start. I was sad to see him leave the program but hope for the best for him. He did a lot for Penn State. He could have left a couple of times earlier but stuck it out.
As I said before, I'll be pulling for Tommy & JoMo, unless they play us!
