I just read where this dude may have signed with Jacksonville. I just don’t see it this is the NFL where the baddest sports dudes on the planet play he’s been out of the league for years and he struggled playing when he was younger. I hope he does make it but I just don’t see it?
And he signed to play tight end??? But hey, as long as they pay him, what it matter if he sees the field? Still not sure why this hype train keeps rolling. Didn't quite make it as an NFL QB, didn't make it as a baseball player. I'm sure he's a really nice guy and all, but....
It's kinda like when Tiger was trying to make a come back. The news feed would say Tiger Woods is 12 shots behind and in 32nd place, then completely skip telling you who was in 1st place.
Maybe Urbs should listen to Bob Seger's "Glory Days". Boy I love that song!
Many players are signed to contracts every summer that are a stretch, probably won't work out, and never see the field. Maybe they become scout team players, maybe they are backups, maybe they just get cut. Only reason this is a story is his name.
Jacksonville has zero to lose, so why not.
Thanks for the correction, 81. You know the Glory Days are really gone when the mind starts going!
@roaminglion Don't want to sound like Pipe but, I know some people in the Jaguars organization. I hear that they are bringing him in to look after Trevor Lawrence kind of like a grounding mentorship role, play a little tight end and sell lot of tickets. Tim Tebow is like a god here in NE Fla. Jacksonville has always been a medium to low NFL market. Revenue is low cause the local fans are tired of paying to watch a losing team. But, Tebow alone will bring people to the stadium, for a while. They hope that he will draw people in and Trevor Lawrence and the new reshaping of the team from the coaching staff on down will start clicking and produce some winning football.
Plus Urbs bought a house a couple doors down from ole Timmy so the Bromance continues...
@been-there-ii Not he was "A" Gator, He was and is still "THE" Gator down here!!

I never understood the whole "the speech" thing after the loss to Ole Miss. It wasn't all that good of a speech really, all he said was "you'll never see a team play more hard" a bunch of times and then left.
