Glad to see the Todd Blackledge has left ESPN for NBC's Big Ten primetime coverage. He will be paired with Noah Eagle for all the games starting next year. It will be fun to see the best game of the week in the Big Ten consistently be played at night.

Good for him.  Now, if they could only steal Jack Ham from the radio broadcast.  That would be a great team, Blackledge & Ham!

I think NBC said 2 to 3 ND games per year would be in primetime, but their deal with NBC only runs to 2025 anyway. What that probably means is the Ohio State game will definitly be in primetime in 2023, and more than likely a early season game before the full conference slate starts too. In 2024 it means Purdue/ND is probably primetime as well, with another early game.

After that ND will have an interesting choice, because they are now faced with the notion beginning in 2024 that they will never receive a bye in the playoff. Those spots are only reserved for conference champs, so they will need to finish in the top 6 of non-conference champs to get in. Quite simply, there's no sneaking in for independents. The top 6 conference champs all get in, and the top 4 get byes.
