According to the ESPN propaganda piece this morning Penn State can lose 1 game and make it into the playoffs...That means every game is a must win for this team as they can't have 2 losses and get in...Ohio State is gonna be a tough one to win...They can beat Ohio State but a lot needs to go right for them to do it...Assuming OSU is a loss they have no wiggle room...Even with a loss they won't be hosting a playoff game and if by the grace of God they host a game it will be against Oregon or a non SEC team...They don't want anybody from that conference traveling north to play a football game in late December...
Honest question, why do you take 1 person's opinion on ESPN and say it's how everyone feels and they will all follow her?According to the ESPN propaganda piece this morning Penn State can lose 1 game and make it into the playoffs...That means every game is a must win for this team as they can't have 2 losses and get in...Ohio State is gonna be a tough one to win...They can beat Ohio State but a lot needs to go right for them to do it...Assuming OSU is a loss they have no wiggle room...Even with a loss they won't be hosting a playoff game and if by the grace of God they host a game it will be against Oregon or a non SEC team...They don't want anybody from that conference traveling north to play a football game in late December...
As the coaches poll just came out and completely refutes her claims anyway. Alabama fell to 7, nowhere near where she said they would be. Also where you stated you would be shocked if they fell that far.
It also has 3 Big Ten teams in the top 5.
Talk about SEC teams being overrated as much as you want but the biggest farce of them all is Clemson being in the top ten.
Dumb question. The Big 10 Championship is the 1 and 2 Big Ten Teams this year. How is it determined? Is it possible for PSU to lose to OSU and then play the again in the Championship? I suppose it is possible for Oregon PSU and Indiana to have 1 Big 10 loss...assuming OSU goes undefeated for arguments sake.
So then the second best B10 team might have two losses, the best undefeated and the third and forth could have 1 loss.
Has the SEC quit having conferences also? It seems they have, so TX plays GA yet and Alabama's only real game is TN...remembering Vanderbilt was not a real game 🙂
Must be an interesting tie breaker for these conference championships.

I really thought earlier in the season Penn State would be able to score points against Ohio State. I watched their defense against Akron and Marshall, and they weren't exactly stellar!..But after this past weekend - with or without Singleton - I have my doubts. I know a lot people here think the new OC is doing well, but I just can't wrap my head around that yet. I still have too many questions at some of the play calling.
Our defense is pretty good for the most part, but they can't wait until the second quarter or halftime to make adjustments against Ohio State. Heck, they could be down 21-0 at that point. Ohio State is playing well on offense, but then again, just like Penn State, they have not played one good team to date. Illinois is ok, and Iowa is usually decent, but not this year.
USC will be a good test. I know they just lost to Minny, but USC will be the best team we have faced so far this season. They have been averaging 26 points per game in Big10 play. Penn State is averaging 24 points. They have been giving up 24 points vs Penn State's at 9 in Big10 play and 11 on average over 5 games. I think Penn State gets their 24 points + 3 extra but gives up 17.
Penn State....27
USC....17
I also like Oregon over Ohio State by 7 points. I think we see a repeat of 2021.
GO STATE!!!!!
@mtnittanylion Illinois has a pretty good football team better than Iowa imo.
So now the big 10 believes in head to head tie breakers smh lol
Im with you on the OC it’s the same thing I saw with Mike Yurcich an offense that racks up big numbers in the big 12 but struggles against big 10 teams. We will see this weekend because USC defense stinks as usual under Riley. I’m still hoping our OC is just getting a feel for the players he has and he’ll stop the hotdog BS and start running the ball down teams throats if he knows he can which is what I believe is going on. What’s missing from our offense is running a play until the defense figures out a way to stop it. Remember the goat Joe Pa in that Tennessee bowl game years ago with the great Tony Hunt…run it again…run it again…run it again we destroyed Tennessee defense that game they couldn’t stop the run.
Homer, Clemson has a pretty good football team especially on defense and their offense has gotten better.
We just gotta come out smokin' on both sides of the ball. If we play like we're capable of for all 4 Qtrs we'll be ok, regardless of the opponent.
I don’t believe Oregon can beat Ohio St but we’ll see. I believe we win 31-17 at USC
I'm thinking maybe we win, 24-10 if we don't nip at the rat poison (#4 ranking)!

We have racked up good numbers this year, just not a ton of points. We are 22nd in total offense, and 13th in yards per play.
That is a huge improvment from previous years. They only issue we have is consistency, which I think we've been getting better at.
I honestly beleieve that the new OC is settling in, as he was kinda testing out his new offense for the past couple weeks. He changed a lot, so it was a big change from previous years. Hopefully now it is just fine tuning.
However, the point is on paper we are one of the better offenses in the NCAA, and one of the best when it comes to yards per play
@roaminglion oh yeah, I’m not being doom and gloom I believe he’s also try to get a feel for what’s he’s got but this week is the week I want to see our offense flex it’s muscle and dominate the USC defense. I have a feeling AK is going to let it loose this week and we’re going to see an explosive offense with a whole lot of running the ball down USC throat.
The next 4 games is going to be a tough stretch we gotta tighten up baby.

I thought you said this week would be a cakewalk
@psujoe I never said USC was a cakewalk but we should beat up on ‘em. You see more in ‘em than I do but USC, Wisconsin, Ohio St and Washington isn’t a cakewalk it’s probably one of the toughest 4 game stretches we’ve ever played. If I remember correctly I also said this last year during the season.
If we struggle on offense this week we have offensive problems that probably can’t be fixed this year. When you can’t score something is wrong. Our QB is playing to good not to be scoring more points let’s give it another week and see what happens.
@southern-psu-fan You said the Pac 12 sucked, but now were playing 2 of em in 4 weeks and it's one of the toughest stretches we've ever played. Lmao
@roaminglion PAC 12 did suck except for a few teams. I’ve always said USC was part of the big dawgs. UCLA and Washington are above average decent teams about like Illinois and Wisconsin same level.

Must have been someone else preaching all spring and summer about how the west coast teams can’t “hang with the big dogs”. Maybe he’s saying PSU isn’t a big dog? But then why would he have us in his top 5 and how did lowly Washington beat big bad Meatchicken?
If I was a betting man I’d be laying money on USC to win as it’s probably one of the best bets for this coming Saturday.
And I am 99.9 percent sure it was southernPSUfan proclaiming we’d destroy USC by at least 14 points.
@psujoe I don’t believe James Franklin will show much mercy this week if we get USC down I can see him pouring it on baby. If we lose the head hunters are coming after Franklin. This is a statement game for him imo
I don't think JF is comfortable will Allar as much as we would like to think so. The kid is better this year, but he is still having some struggles and I think JF knows that. I think we will have a better idea about this offense after the USC game. This is a pretty big game, so maybe the new OC has had enough time to figure out his offense and the pieces will fall in place now. Who knows, maybe the OC makes a statement this weekend that shuts guys up like me! LOL
GO STATE!!!!
