Why should the Georgia or Bama loser get in over a conference champion or an undefeated Cincinnati? A 1 loss conference champion should ALWAYS get in over a 1 loss team that didn't win their conference...Frankly I strongly believe that ONLY conference champions no matter their record and undefeated teams like Cincy this year or UCF of years past should be considered for the playoff...Being a conference champion should matter and if they don't why play them? If Cincy runs the table they deserve to be in the playoff...Year after Year you have an undefeated team like Cincy, UCF, Boise State get froze out of the playoff...Why call them Division 1 schools? These non power 5 teams should form their own division...Why as an athlete would you want to compete a whole season and win all of your games and be denied the opportunity to compete for a national championship? Remember UCF a few years back? Don't tell me that these teams can't compete...That is pure nonsense and gets disproven over and over again...I am 100% certain they will put Bama and Georgia in unless one of them loses 2 games...I believe the B1G will get their conference champ in...Oklahoma will go unbeaten...If Oregon wins the PAC with 1 loss they will get screwed out of the playoff and if Cincy goes undefeated they will get screwed out of the playoff...This is a forgone conclusion and why this whole thing is a farce...
I find it amusing that it is a "conspiracy theory" to entertain the thought and think that a Media Outlet who spent billions to purchase the rights to the NCAA football playoffs and went into business with the SEC and ACC conferences to create partnership channels would put their thumb on the scale to favor those conferences for their business interests when it comes to placing as many teams as possible from their partnership conferences into said playoff...I also find it laughable that it is conspiratorial to think that said media outlet would do everything to sway public opinion to favor their partnered conferences...Shame on me for even entertaining the thought that the fix might be in for this media outlet to maximize their profits for their investments...What the heck am I thinking...They would never do anything like that this whole process is on the up and up...

I agree, we have 5 power conferences take 4 and let them settle it on the field and let the one that got left out figure out how to get in next time. I was just responding to remoh post FD, it’s not what I think should happen. I’ve always said take 4 conference champs and let the other conference complain about it that didn’t get in.

I am going to assume Oklahoma goes undefeated so they will be in with Georgia and Bama...This is why I say the CFP has no credibility and to think that ESPN doesn't have a business interest to promote it's 2 conference partners is simply naive...
