Wow, I leave for a few days and all h*ll breaks loose in my world. My wife hacks my e-mail acct and rats me out to NL and MB (thanks guys from the bottom of my heart!!) and the next thing I know the whole forum learns of my stupidity. To top it off,I was forced to spend almost 4 days with a clueless Notre Dame fan and had to listen to how great their team is( CT: do you have an uncle or a relative in Togus maine?) Now I've got a candy-a$$ed UGA fan living at my home complaining about the cold weather and lack of cell service here in the land that time forgot. I have my grandchildren watching my every move and squealing to their grandmother every time I lift my foot to make a move. But seriously guys......THANKS for all the well wishes and the laughs you provided me from your posts. They truly mean an awful lot to me.
I was stupid. I broke my cardinal rule and went out in the woods without letting anyone know where I was. BT.....I didnt take my tractor to look for sheds, that would have been the smart thing to do. Instead, I drove to an area that I guided some hunters this past fall in hopes of finding the sheds of a moose that is the biggest one I've ever seen in all my years. I got close with my truck and then hiked the rest of the way in pulling a large sled to bring my treasure out. No phone, no handgun, no extra warm clothing; NOTHING. My snowshoes caught on something and down I went sliding down the mountainside bouncing off stumps and brush until i was finally able to wrap myself around decent sized tree to stop myself. My sled was still uphill and I was between a rock and a hard place to say the least. I knew my shoulder and elbow were bad but i assumed they were bruised and somehow managed to crawl back up to my sled and use that to navigate back down the mountain. Thankfully i was only about a half mile from my truck when this all happened. I figured that if I slept it off I'd be fine by the next day. Well, the next day came and i decided to bring fire wood in and slipped and cracked my head on the ice. I did not hit my head of any part of my body on the tractor bucket....but im interested in hearing BT's story on his tractor adventures. Lake I wasnt Ice skating with Peggy Flemming either.......but back in the day i would have gladly shown her my version of a triple axel.....but I digress. I've been trying to lay low but Im not made to do that. Yesterday we did a bit of work on our sugar shack (they did I directed) and then we took my ice shack out on the ice and fished a bit and shot the breeze with my brother an oldest grandson (bulldawg).
So....to catch up on things........
I have no problem with the fake punt in the first quarter
I would have gone for it on 4th and 6 instead of kicking the field goal
I feel sorry for coach Corley but business is business and his shortcomings in coaching could have cost other people their jobs.
I'm not sure we'll miss Sanders too much, in fact; I thought our offense looked better with Slade in the backfield on Tuesday.
Justin who?? The young man decommitted from two schools in two years. Im not buying the racial slur hardship and neither is my brother. He realizes he cant beat out Fromm and is seeking greener pastures
I'd like to see Bobby Ingram or the kid's father from Oregon( my head is still fuzzy) for our WR coach.
Does that pretty much catch me up on all the gossip I missed during the week??
Now if you'll excuse me, Remoh and I have some fishing to do.
Thanks guys,
You're the best
Tsuga
Glad to see you are back. Prayed for you. Get completely well soon!
Tsuga so glad to see your post! Glad your home and surrounded by a great support system! Get well Buddy!!! Glad yo have you back!!
Welcome back old man !! It may have hurt for a bit, and caused some discomfort for even longer, but this ordeal seems to have brought people together all in the name of Tsuga. Get well my friend.
Glad to see you are almost back. Love your posts and view on the world. Glad that French named school that claim to be Irish, can't figure that one out, fan did not convert you.
Welcome back old man!!! You were missed. I also agree on your assessment of things regarding the team. Now do us all a favor and keep your feet anchored to the ground...LOL...
T, I guess since you "didn't hit your head or any part of your body on the tractor bucket", then there's no sense telling of my non-learning bucket experiences, 'cause it loses some of it's appeal if ya haven't tried it out yourself. It's kind o' like sex, it's just not the same unless you have 1st hand knowledge.
Ok, ok, when I get back home from the VA tomorrow, I'll spin you a yarn or two. I'll move it to the Outdoor section though.
Ya know, you probably could have won some money on America's Funniest if you'd have had someone taping your otter sliding down the hill imitation...w/ snowshoes on. Had a Basset hound years ago that loved to do that same trick, though I never saw her hit a tree to facilitate stopping and she didn't wear snowshoes. Could have been worse, you could have used your face on the tree to slow your progress.
I'm sure you knew the ice was an unsafe condition and you were trying to remedy that problem for everyone's safety. We Marine's are known to have pretty thick skulls, but maybe try salt next time vs using your head to chip it away.
Glad to hear you're doing better, Tsuaga. All the best!
Ha, ha, nice post TSUGA.
Hey tsuga....Peggy Fleming called and she said your “triple axel” was more like a “dribble axel”. Welcome back, glad you are safe and feeling better.
Hey you "old codger" glad to see you're getting back to your congenial self! Seriously, if this happened yo anyone less tougher than you, I don't believe their outcome would have been the same. BTW, when you and remoh are fishing see if he if he can figure out hiw someone who never served in the military was able to get into a VA hospital!😁 Also, that old piece of shrapnel that you've been carrying for 50 some years must be a real puzzler for him!
Again, great to have you back!

His axel bearings are shot.....pretty much rendering him harmless. I'm thinking that is a major cause of his sunny disposition.

Who's Remoh?? Actually Remoh is the Native American term for "he of all talk and no action"
