Now I see why Maryland beat ‘em 2 straight years. One year might be a fluke but not 2 years. Maryland is just better. Big 12 might be worse that the PAC. Maybe they ain’t no strong conference we’ll have to wait and see how the bowl season turns out but if it’s anything like last year it will be the big 10 again being the strongest conference and our champ might not get in again, it’s a shame.
Does it help us if UCF loses ? I know it’s better for us if Oklahoma wins, right?

No, a Group of 5 is guaranteed a spot no matter what. Texas goes to the Sugar Bowl
Even with the loss today Texas goes to sugar bowl?

Yes, just as the Rose is guaranteed to be a Pac-12 vs. Big Ten, the Sugar Bowl is guaranteed to be SEC vs. Big 12.
It is up to each conference how to select the participant if their champion goes to the CFP, and the Big 12 stated the runner-up of their championship game gets the auto-bid. This is unlike the Big Ten, who would rather pick the higest ranked team and not the runner-up.
Of course, I am assuming Oklahoma is taken by the CFP. If they aren't, obviously the Sooners would be in the Sugar instead.
So Pittsburgh is getting a big bowl? If so this is garbage. 4 loss teams don’t deserve big bowls unless they win the conference
Heck Pittsburgh might have 6 losses lol
No, Pittsburgh is in the ACC. They don't have any bowl tie-ins this year because the Orange Bowl is a Semi-final.
In years where the Orange Bowl is not a CFP game, I believe the ACC chooses the highest ranked team... not the runner-up.
The only reason the Big 12 picks the runner-up is because their selections for the title game aren't by division. They have the 1st & 2nd teams in the entire conference play. The 4 other conferences all go by division, therefore they use a "best ranked" selection.
