Really haven't had a chance to take a close look at who is coming back ( besides Cliff ) and just how good some of the early enrollment kids are.  I don't see how it is possible for the Lions to be playoff contender in 2022, but an 8 win season would be nice.  There is a lot of time between now and kickoff and you just never know which kid is going to step up.  I am not even going to address the coaches at this point, I think a lot of the 2022 season rests on just how bad these kids want it!

I have always followed Penn State basketball. They just pulled out a nice win against Iowa Monday night.  And for the most part, they have been very competitive this season.  But yet, they lost several really good players last year and as the season has been progressing, they have been improving and gaining some momentum,  My point is, even they lost some good players, they are playing as a unit, getting better and they are a factor heading down the stretch.  This is pretty much what I would like to see the football team do this year.  Take what you have, play the cards you are dealt and figure it out!!  Like I said, I haven't looked very deep into the roster, but they have enough returning that they should be able to fill in some holes ( or at least open some up ) to have a good season!!

GO STATE!!!

can’t get any momentum going we find to many ways to lose games do to coaching. 8 wins ain’t going to cut it. 9-3 regular season and possibly win a bowl game will be an ok season nothing special but it could lead to gettin something going. After 4-5 and 7-6 losing to Arkansas I just ain’t feeling anything to make me feel optimistic. I don’t care how we get to 10 wins just get there and that would be the only thing that saves this coaching staff. Year 9 baby, there is no excuse for less than 10 wins!

I'm going out on the limb and say 6-6 based on multiple factor; I hope a lot better than that, but pragmatically, continuing to look forward for better expectations and results is daunting.

We'll beat up on Ohio, Central, NW, Maryland and Rutgers. 6-6, 5-7

All I ever hear is how great recruiting has been.  I admit, I don't really follow it, so I'm just going on what the experts on here post.  If that's the case, the material is there, so it's up to the coaching staff.  If we fall apart again this year, heads need to roll - beginning with the head head!

I will optimistically say 7-5 with losses to Auburn, Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State and somebody they shouldn’t lose to, maybe Purdue. They will be competitive because Yurcich’s offense will gel, overcoming a depleted defense though Manny Diaz will work wonders with what he has. I will also win the lottery in 2022 so I’m buying drinks for everybody ( as long as everybody is drinking Bud Light draft).

@rip  you know me BK, what you see is what you get. It ain’t complicated brother. I really like james Franklin and I hope it works but he’s got some work to do to get me back and winning 10 or more games will get me back on the bandwagon, just win baby! Man I can’t even get due right 😂

I hope it works out too Southern.  I'll always pull for the Lions and have nothing against Franklin, but I'm afraid he's done as good as he's gonna do.  I hope I'm wrong and if I am, I'll be his biggest cheerleader.  I've heard plenty of atta boys regarding his recruiting, but I wanna see some real coaching and player development!  If he can produce that, the wins will come!

It's all on the Offensive Line. If they are good we will be a 9+ win team, another year like this and we win 6 games.

There's absolutly nothing wrong with our skill positions on offense. QBs, RBs, WRs, and TEs will all be fine. It's the OL that has to get measurably better. The hope is Tengwall and Wormley will be serious upgrades to the Guards.

I agree with Roam on this...If this offensive line performs I see no reason why this ballclub shouldn't be in a championship discussion...The skill players are as good as any team in the country and the defense always seems to play well...If the Oline can move some people off the ball and control the time of possession a little bit to give the defense a break I think Penn State has as good a talent as any team in the country...
