I was surprised to find out that if coaches agree, you can shorten the end of a game. Being down 70-7, the Morgan State head coach requested that the final quarter be shortened. The Arizona State coach was actually surprised at the request, because he too did not realize it was allowed. He agreed and the final quarter was shortened to 10 minutes.
