Interesting.
IMO, if FSU could get the program back to the late 80/90's/2010-2016 level of play with consistency, that would be great for the BIG.
I think they even have a hockey team, lol.
@psu61 with all the teams the big 10 is adding it might be the big 10 champ that only makes the playoffs and that team might be 7-5 lol….maybe I’m missing something? I guess college football is headed for only 2 or 3 conferences
@southern-psu-fan we already have Indiana and Rutgers, don’t need anymore bottom feeder programs
The only sure winners in all this expansion madness are the Airlines! So much for our concerns about global warming, lol!
I read a while back that if FSU joins the B1G so will Clemson.
@psujoe Ga Tech is headed back in the right direction homer. I did my first thumbs down on homer that wasn’t an accident lol
I remember years ago when Bobby Bowden admitted that the path to a conference championship was much easier in the ACC, and he was glad they didn't join the SEC. LMAO
@southern-psu-fan they’re bottom feeders, always have been and always will be. The only way they get an invite to the B1G would be to pad the stats and automatic W’s for the big dogs of the conference.

I’m still figuring out how Ga Tech lost this game against Ole Miss. you see the stats. Penn St should be able to run all over Ole Miss
I wouldn't say "always have been" since they have won a national title more recently than us.@southern-psu-fan they’re bottom feeders, always have been and always will be. The only way they get an invite to the B1G would be to pad the stats and automatic W’s for the big dogs of the conference.
@roaminglion He knows better Roam lol. They were a power house in the SEC before they joined the ACC
They didn't just lose, they got blown out 48-23

@southern-psu-fan Yes. We are headed for 2 major conferences. SEC and B1G. These two conferences will combine to produce playoff teams like the NFC-AFC format in the NFL. The XM College Football guys have been talking about this for a year or more. If you aren’t in one of those two conferences, you really won’t have a chance to make the playoffs. It’s all about money and those two conferences have the most.

Three other conferences are quite literally guaranteed spots in the new format, and at least 2 of them would be granted byes as well.
@roaminglion the game was closer than the score. Ole Miss pulled away late. Ga Tech got tired late in the 4th but it did end a blowout
@southern-psu-fan LMFAO GT has never been a powerhouse at anything other than sucking for the past 30 years. Don’t waste your time typing and trying to convince me that pathetic program is relevant. The B1G wants NC and Virginia but if FSU becomes available they’d obviously take them too.
@lionbacker99 what channel is that on 99? I have Sirius Radio. Thanks buddy
Well if you want some feeder wins out of the ACC, then bring on UVa and VAtech.
It's gonna be interesting to see where ND finally ends up?
Georgia Tech won national championships in 1917, 1928, 1952, and 1990. The Yellow Jackets also have won championships in four different conferences, including three in the old Southern Conference, five in the Southeastern Conference, and two as part of their current membership in the Atlantic Coast Conference. There’s 3 more NC’s they could claim but don’t for some reason. You must have missed the 2 ACC championships PJ won since 2009. You definitely don’t remember the George O’Leary years with Ralph Friedgen as his OC. Homer they were pretty dang good. They didn’t suck until Geoff Collins come here and they were garbage I give you that. Ga Tech has 4 HOF coaches lol
Homer, if you’d pay attention to other teams besides Rutgers outside Penn St you would know this lol
@southern-psu-fan 84. It’s pretty good most days.
@roaminglion Once the SEC and B1G get to 20 teams, the format may change again.
@southern-psu-fan "There’s 3 more NC’s they could claim but don’t for some reason"
1916: They tied a game while Pitt and Army were undefeated. A retro computer poll (Berryman) calculated them #1, but no polls of the time voted them #1.
1951: Strange as it seems, The AP Poll voted on national champions before the bowls back then. Tennesse was undefeated, so they were ranked #1 and GT #5 with a tie. Maryland who was #3 and undefeated beat Tennessee in the bowl game but UT still claims the NC and Maryland doesn't. How stupid is that? LMAO this shows how ridiculous old titles are worth... Meaningless. Anyways, Berryman's retro computer poll put GT #1 again which is worth less than nothing.
1956: Oklahoma was undefeated and #1... Two computer polls retroactively calculated them as #1 (Sagarin / Berryman)
