Doesn’t matter who they hire because they have sucked and been irrelevant for decades which means they can’t be good today or tomorrow.

Plus they’re not a “big dawg” or “blue blood”

@psujoe  i don’t know about decades remoh they were pretty good during the Paul Johnson years and played in the ACC championship game 5 or 6 times. Paul was the master in the triple option but it’s hard to run in college football today just to much speed on defense.

@rip  I’d love to get BOB. We gotta lot of good QB’s in Georgia high schools and bob would be able to get the top QB’s. He’d be a good fit I believe. I really thought Collins would do good but I didn’t work. On his defense though he had to rebuild an offense that was recruited to the triple option but my problem with him is they didn’t get any better over 4 years. I’d love Bob to come to GT

Rough deal with the timing for him though. He had to recruit a whole different type of player, yet for lamost 2 years wasn't allowed to go out and show recruits what he was trying to do because of COVID. That's a tough ask. When you are established, kids at least know who you are and what you're doing. When you aren't, it's real tough to convince a kid to come and play in a straight up rebuild situation without ever meeting them in person.

@psujoe  Georgia Tech

Considered as one of the most successful national collegiate football programs for over a century, it still remains a college football powerhouse. The Yellow Jackets have won four national championships across four decades (1917, 1928, 1952, 1990), including 16 conference titles.

remoh forgot to put their SEC records in there. Georgia Tech was a force when they were in the SEC. Them numbers are deceiving because GT didn’t get in the ACC until the early 80’s.

We have struggled the last 5 or 6 years I’ll admit that but all teams go through a few years where they struggle. In the 90’s it was hard as hell to beat Florida St but we still won the ACC in a tie with Florida St. brother, when George O’Leary was at GT we dominated Georgia beating them 5 straight times if I remember right. Not many teams wanted to play tech during them days. Lot of talent around here in Atlanta just got to find the right coach and GT will be back. Y’all see the last century does that look like a bottom feeder of the big 10….come on Homer, you know better baby 😂

So they’re one of those pathetic programs that declares themselves champion when the official standard doesn’t recognize them. Kinda like Central Florida a couple years ago, that’s pretty sad and pathetic. Colorado was the 1990 national champion but nice try with that Wikipedia entry you posted that was obviously written by a delusional GT alum.

Colorado was given that NC remoh. They had a tie and loss and was given 5 downs to win another game. We destroyed Nebraska in the orange bowl. That year was another scam GT was the true NC’s. Sympathy award for another big 8 school just like Nebraska in 1994.

@psujoe Back then the Coaches Poll and the AP Poll were considered equal, which is why Nebraska and Michigan were both NC champions in 1997. GT was undefeated and #1 in the coaches poll. They were National Champions, there is no comparison to UCF at all. Gerogia Tech is listed as National Champion on the NCAA's website... UCF is not.

Am I the only one who believe the big 8 always got the benefit of the doubt if they were in the hunt? I can’t never remember a big 8 team gettin the shaft. That’s why I hate Nebraska and I’m glad they suck 😂

Ok so you got it off of Google answers which is probably worse. I’m pretty sure Wikipedia does some monitoring of things people enter and Google does even less. That was obviously entered by a delusional fan and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was you !!! I deal with and laugh at you delusional brainwashed southern football fans all the time when I’m in FLA. Hate to tell you but GT gets zero respect in B1G country and is thought of as being on the same level as Purdue and Indiana which puts you one notch above loseRU.

@psujoe  maybe people in big 10 country needs to look up Bobby Dodd, John Heisman, George O’Leary and Bobby Ross and they will understand the power of GT football. Been down for 5 or 6 years but they’ll get back up there when we get the right coach. 39 wins against Georgia  …Ohio St has none 😂 you know better remoh! Also, you know good and well I can’t write that good lol

LOL saying something that stupid up here would be a good way to get my ass beat!!! Sounds to me like you’re living in the 50’s which is amazing because I know for a fact you weren’t born by then. Did you see the Vanderbilt fans chanting “SEC…SEC” after their big win over Northern Illinois? You’d fit right in with them!!!

Some people that we talked to at the game on Saturday were claiming that SEC colleges are now lobbying that when the playoffs go to 12 teams all early round games should be played at a nuetral site. They know what will happen when northern teams get a home field advantage in December. The whole narrative created by ESPiN and supported by you will be torn to pieces.

@psujoe  remoh, regardless of where they played the Michigan/Georgia game last year wouldn’t have mattered Georgia played with ‘em and beat ‘em down like yard puppies.  Wasn’t the 31-0 beat down on Ohio St from Clemson on a neutral field 😂

Bobby Ross and George O’Leary was during 90’s- early 2000 but Paul Johnson won the ACC in 09 and lost a few after that so my point is if we got the right coach GT can win. They have been bad lately but they’ve had some very  good teams the last 40 years. They haven’t been Alabama but they’ve been pretty good. Not many teams can be Alabama so it’s not just GT that comes up short on that.
