Sure hope Jimmy finds a scholarship for Ryan Barker.  He certainly earned one!

Hope so too, BT.  I don't know if he'll be faced with a pressure kick like that for a while.  Maybe against the Suckeyes!

So happy to not see Sahaydak trotting out onto the field when the field goal unit comes on

I think it's safe to say he will be hitting the portal, it's possible he just might need a change of scenery.

If he leaves, that would free up a scholie for Barker.

I'm sure Barker will get or is getting some NIL money to pay for school anyway.

He shouldn't have to use NIL money to pay for school.  That's what scholies are for.  After this past Sat.,  I believe he sure deserves one!

Players wanted NIL so this is what you get. I have zero sympathy.

Giving the kid a scholie has nothing to do with sympathy.  Our previous kicker was on a scholie & couldn't make a kick to save his life!  Barker goes 4 for 4 and hits the game winner and he doesn't have one?  Something is very wrong with that picture.  I'm not shedding a tear for the guy, but what's right is right.  All I'm saying is give the kid his due!

Who you taking a schollie away from to give it to him? So missing 3 FGs means it's okay for a team to resind it's promise of a scholarship and give it to someone else?

@rip Barker is/was a walk on. Kinda like getting an unpaid internship for the summer, you hope it turns into a paying job eventually. If he keeps hitting, they'll find him a schollie before next season. In the mean time, a little NIL would help pay his tuition.

Of course if one is available we should give it to him, I was just saying that it shouldn't be ripped away from someone else mid-season

If Sahaydak hits the portal as you suspect, there's Barker's scholie.

Well I meant he'd hit the portal at years end, after the season is over. Yes, at that point it should be given to Barker.
