Anybody catch the bit by Colin Cowherd regarding 5 reasons not to draft Barkley? It's on PennLive Penn State Football. Has his sycophant Joel Klatt chiming in. Cowherd relies on stats, but it's evident he and others who share the opinion have not watched many games with SB. His point is that SB is not an every down back, based on his results in big games, number of carries and ypg. Sort of doubt pro teams will sell out just to stop one guy, as Indiana and Rutgers and others did. Is SB an every down NFL back? Who knows, but his history, workout numbers and character indicate that he is. As aside, I also think that Iowa drained SB, such that he was beaten up and worn out afterwards and it showed in subsequent games.

Colin Cowherd wears pink and skips to work. I'll take my chances on a homerun hitter!!

I stopped listening to these national blowhards. Occasionally, I will watch BTN, but the other networks seem like a major waste of time to me. These nitwits are somewhat right though. Barkley isn’t Fournette. He’s better. He also isn’t McCaffrey. He’s better. He’s a blend of them both. I like to describe him as AP’s power with Reggie Bush’s explosiveness. He’s fast, powerful, agile, and durable. He can catch out of the backfield like a slot WR and he can block on 3 rd downs. The fine detail these turds aren’t mentioning is he did everything he did at PSU in 3 years behind a substandard OL. Put him behind a good NFL OL and the sky is the limit. But as long as these guys continue to doubt him, Barkley will have even more motivation than he has already. I can’t wait for him to prove them wrong. I just hope he doesn’t have to do it in Cleveland.

NFL network seems like the most unbiased. I will occasionally watch them.

Good post. It looks more and more like the Browns are interested in Darnold for their first pick, I don’t think Barkley will be available for their next First rounder.

Colin Cowbutt only speaks to raise controversy. I don’t know how any true and knowledgeable sports enthusiast can listen to his spew.

My wife and I got to meet Cowherd at a 680 the fan birthday bash back in 05 and I’m telling ya he’s a very nice guy, he sat at our table for about 20 minutes talking to us about penn st , I was giving him a hard time because we just beat Minnesota and he was still saying we weren’t that good and he told me Ohio st would beat us the coming week and I told him if we beat Ohio st I’d be listening to see if he would give us credit Monday, he remembered our talk and mentioned it on the air and he was on the bandwagon after that and for the rest of that year he did give penn st credit. The dude was Super nice to me and my wife

Thanks for posting. It’s obvious the “turd” gets paid for creating controversy and not as a tru analyst.

I heard on the radio this AM that Denver may be willing to make a trade with someone in the first few picks in order to trade up for SB.
