Watching the NFL games today, a couple times a close call came into play regarding WRs getting their feet in. White shoes made it harder...

Why not a rule that only allows colors that make it easy to see the shoe? No white and no green (or blue in the case of Boise State) So black, orange, or any other color is fine as long as it creates a contrast making it easier to make the proper call.

Interesting thought. I’m waiting for the day when the uniforms will be embedded with microchips and computers will officiate the game.

I always envisioned a chip in both ends of the football. You would always know if the ball crossed the goal line.

Great idea. That won't good enough for conspiracy theorists. The chips signal was altered,  not synchronized with the goal line.

I also thought a holographic glass wall should appear when then chips get within 5 yards of the goal line. When the ball crosses the line the glass wall would shatter and fall. That would sure beat the refs raising two arms above their heads.
