Just saw on Pennlive we picked up a 4* OL.
Roam, just want to say it looks like you’re right about the OL coach because we all seen how much better we were this year at the OL position and to think how many injuries we had and they still kicked Utah butt and finished 11-2 says a lot. As long as Penn St is winning I don’t mind being wrong once in a blue moon 😂

We'll certainly see next year, with Allar at QB we are going to get a great look at how this Oline stacks up without a truely mobile QB back there. I will say the OL coach certainly has looked the part, getting good recruits and coaching them up!
@roaminglion I believe the heat was on the OL coach and imo the dude stepped up and delivered. The OL was beat up and they still got it done. Looking forward to seeing Allar in the spring game. I’m assuming he’ll get the snaps because he’s never started a game. He’ll definitely be off limits getting hit but we should be able to see how good he throws the ball.
@southern-psu-fan You mean Mathews the '25 recruit that committed yesterday or Onoh, that we may be signing up tomorrow?
@been-there-ii the Mathews kid2025 class buddy. Sorry it took me so long to respond BT we’ve been out celebrating. My son passed his test today and he’s now a nurse practitioner. It took him a year with everything he had to get done. It’s way over my head to try and explain 😂 but he is finished. I’m proud of that boy. He said he’s tired of school lol. My daughter is almost finished and she’ll be a RN. She has about another year.
Congratulations to you & your son, Southern. You sure have every right to be proud! With both your son & daughter in the medical profession, you'll have good care when you become a "golden-ager", lol.
@southern-psu-fan Nice job! Congrats to your son, you and your wife.
@southern-psu-fan That's awesome for both your kids Southern! Congrats! 😀
Would you send them BOTH up here to PA and to a certain Hospital that I won't mention!! My old man - and he is all good right now - fell down the steps, broke two bones in his neck and a severe concusion at Christmas. He was literally on the operating table last week, 5 minutes from being put under and they called the "minor surgery" off....I was there with him. They asked him several questions before they began and realized the procedure was not neccesary based on his repsonses to the doc.....I kid you not.
Don't ask, long story, but the procedure was to elimiate his severe headaches. When I ask how he would know if this procedure worked, they said he would know immediately, the headaches would go away right after he awoke.
HE NEVER HAD SERVERE HEADACHES!!! Just a little double vision that has been getting better day by day! We thought this was to correct his double vision. Folks, this is where we are today in our world! Southern, make sure these kids go to EVERY DOC apt of any concern with you!!
Here is the funny part. After the initial fall, all he was concerned about was me moving his TV upstairs so he could watch the Rose Bowl. His provider was not open over the holiday, so he hounded every day until I got there to run wires to the Family Room for him. This is one tuff 81 year old dude!
Man I hope your daddy is ok buddy. You good man mtnittany I know you’re close to your dad and your father in law they’re blessed to have you.
Sorry mtnittany I didn’t mean to give a thumbs up on that post I’m sorry that your daddy fell buddy.
Thank all you guys for the kind words I appreciate it.
I know what you mean, MNL. Could share a few horror stories we've had with my wife with medical issues, but I don't want to get myself worked up all over again!. Hope all is going well with your dad.
Southern...The reason your children are so successful is because they have great parents, I know this because your posts show your great character.
Mt. NittanyLion...whew!!so glad it eventually turned out ok for your dad and here is hoping for a continued, successful recovery. Get the kid next door to haul that tv upstairs (thats what I do).
@mtnittanylion Sad to hear your father had the fall, but glad he's feeling better!
Thanks, Southern! And to everyone else for the kind words! Very lucky to have both of my in-laws and parents going strong in their 80's! Need to bring home a Penn State National Championship sooner than later for these guys! They were in their late 40's the last time Penn State won one!
Heck, bring one home for all of us here as well!
