Certainly says something when the guy who would probably benefit the most from paying players, as Alabama's boosters would pony up in a heartbeat, as well as the crazy exposure kids get from being a starter there... is stating "this is bad".
The game has change, there is no going back. The only thing keeping kids out of the NFL is physical maturity and regs. I'm afraid the regs will go by the wayside at some point especially if the leagues like the USFL take root; that league won't be for second chancers, it will be developmental for high school/1st year college drop outs.
@psu61 college baseball is fun to watch and imo college football will still be just as fun to watch. I believe all this will die down after a few years. Last year was fun we just struggled on the sidelines.
My idea to fix college basketball: NBA gets off it's arse and lets HS kids enter the draft. If they don't make it, they can go to the G league and play there. If you want to go to college, the NBA states that they will not touch you for 3 years. It's just like baseball, you can go pro if you want... but if you choose school there's no 1 and done for you.
I'd love to see the college game get back to more team play, and don't care if the huge quality kids choose to enter the draft. Do it at your own risk
Nick knows college football. Get the best players, have no academic standard and coaching is not at a premium. Some discipline is though.
'We don't come here to play school'
And he clearly promotes his percentage that go pro.
@underlion JoePa, how did you beat Bobby Bowden and dominate him like you did? I had better players
Bobby, how did you will all them games? I had the best players 😂
both coaches did say they got way to much credit you’d have to look at the assistant coaches they surround themselves with. These are 2 of the greatest coaches to have ever coached in any sport. They both dominated for decades

Isn't that a quote from Ohio State's Cardale Jones? Not really a Nick thing
Ok, clearly Joe could make the best orange juice out of good oranges. But he didn't make the best orange juice from average oranges or lemons. BTW FL oranges are better than CA.
Yes coaching matters but every coach looks better when he consistently has the best athletes.....
The 'We don't come here to play school' was not an AL quote...maybe OSU but it fits in AL also
The other quote comes from the head of the NCAA, another favorite. 'What is good for LSU Football is good for LSU'. Gee that didn't hurt him in his NCAA interview.... He hasn't yet said what is good for Football is good for the NCAA. Or would it be visa versa?
@underlion I was just going on with ya underlion. Slick Nick can recruit and he usually does have the best players and add his coaching equals to a bunch of wins and NC’s 😂
As they say, the rich get richer, lol.
