We’re all frustrated and I’m sure james Franklin is just as frustrated about the last 2 years. On james Franklin’s defense he has had a lot of turnover in his coaching staff the last 3 or 4 years and I’m thinking all the coaches ain’t gelling yet because james Franklin track record winning speaks for itself when you look at the challenges he had at Vanderbilt and when he took over Penn State. James Franklin is a good coach he’s proved that so we need to give him a chance to get his mojo back because if anybody can do it, it’s james Franklin, he’s been in much tougher situations than the last 2 years coaching. Don’t be surprised if we don’t get 10 or more wins this year. Man I’m hoping he does because I just love the guy. He earned and deserves a chance to get this team back to winning 10 or more games. If Jim Harbaugh can do it, I’m telling you now james Franklin can do it.

You make good points. I’m hoping 2022 is a better year. Franklin is a good spokesperson for the program. Parents like him and that is why PSU is getting some blue chippers. I still question his game time decisions. I’m not a football guy, just a fan. I have some friends that have coached college and high school football and when I mention Coach James Franklin, they shake their heads.

We don't care about the NFL talent he produces.
At this point I'm not going to argue if he should be here or not... I wouldn't have extended his contract, but it's done and over with and all I can hope is that next year this team wakes from it's funk.

@psu61 the more I think about it 61, when James Franklin is standing there like that with that lost look and we’ve all seen it a couple of times, he knows how to fix the problem, he’s just got that look knowing he can’t in that particular game because for some reason he just doesn’t have the players to fix it. Back in 2015 when the sanctions had just been lifted he didn’t have the players to fix it in the Michigan St game and I get it but there is no excuse for not having the players to fix it today. Water under the bridge let’s give the man another year to get this team back to his level of winning football games because if anybody can get it back it’s james Franklin. I believe he’s got distracted and losing coaches and replacing them with new ones has caught up with him and sometimes you take a step back even the goat joe Paterno took a step back when he started replacing coaches so let’s give james Franklin the benefit of the doubt because he has had this team in the top 10 for a few years and I believe he can do it again. Winning solves 99.999999% of your problems 😂 just win baby!

He did have the players to fix it, but he was stubborn with his "establish the run" credo. Just should have let Yurcich throw the ball more and resigned himself to the fact that we simply could not run block. Some teams adjust to it, heck Mike Leach made a career on throwing all over the place without much running... it can be done, but JF didn't want to do it.
