Is the competition for starting QB heating up given Stevens' limited practice as he continues to recuperate from surgery? I found the following quote from KJ Hamler interesting (from PL article). Hamler offered some insight on how he’s building trust with quarterbacks Sean Clifford and Will Levis while potential starter Tommy Stevens is limited. “Cliff’s mostly been throwing the passes, and I’ve been throwing with Cliff since ninth grade,” Hamler said. "He’s the main reason I came here. Do you think Hamler is casting hie vote for Clifford? Am I reading too much into it, or could there be a QB controversy brewing? If so, not good for team chemistry IMO.
Might be you're jumping the gun just a little Bob. Let's let Stevens get back on his feet, literally, before writing him off as a starter. Stevens is still limited and not sounding like he's practicing much throwing. Hamler made a statement about having played with Clifford and why he came to PSU, I don't see it as him casting a vote for or against anyone.
That and Stevens really hasn't been announced as the starting QB, only speculation he will be. So it's pretty much up for grab. No controversy.

Hope you're right BT II. I thought I might just be paranoid. I guess time will tell. I'm certainly not writing Stevens off, IMO if he's healthy, he should be the starter!
Slowly Tommy Stevens is melting away.
“I’m melting, I’m melting.” The wicked witch of the west.
As long as we win I don’t care who starts. Just win baby!
