I did I hear this dude say MROB was #2 QB? Ain’t no QB in the history of Penn St football better than MROB the defense cost us an undefeated season MROB drove the team down to get the win at Michigan and the defense couldn’t get the stop. I don’t know who would be #1 because if it’s McSorely as much as I love the dude he ain’t no MROB. If I’m picking my all time best QB I’m picking MROB then Kerry Collins but this is the last 25 years. SMH on this one
I’m talking ole southern picking a QB to help win a Penn St football game. His style of play is better than any QB we’ve had for college football because of how good he could throw and imo D-Clark and Collins would be a toss up both are dang good. That’s definitely the top 3 imo. Nothing against all the other great QB’s at Penn St these are just the top 3 imo these dudes could take over a game. DA might have more QB talent but he ain’t as good at getting wins especially against the heavyweights but hopefully that changes this year.
Nah, you're wrong. LOLI did I hear this dude say MROB was #2 QB? In 2005 MRob passed for 2400 yards and ran for 800. In 2016, McSorley passed for more yards than MROB combined with 3600. He also ran for about 400.
Trace also did it with a team racked with crippling sanctions.
I love Mrob too, but the defense didn't cost us a title. We weren't jumping USC or Texas in the rankings, even if we were undefeated. USC was the #1 team all year, and Texas was the #2 team all year. They both went undefeated, and there's no way they were jumping us over either of them. Our loss was meaningless, we were going to be #3 regardless.
Kerry Collins is the best QB to ever put on a Penn State uniform and it’s not even close.
@roaminglion the loss at Michigan when we had the game won cost us another undefeated season. The old system was definitely rigged for teams like Texas and USC so I agree with you. IMO MROB was trace on human growth hormones…bigger, faster and definitely stronger. Same kind of QB
Personally, I thought Chuck Fusina was the man! Looking back, we has some good ones, hard to say who's the best. I wouldn't argue with any of the QB's you guys mentioned.
You're premise is "we had the game won" - no we didn't... Any more than Northwestern had the game won before we drove down and scored on the final drive against them. That's football, you play to the end.@roaminglion the loss at Michigan when we had the game won cost us another undefeated season. “Nobody has had a better season for us than he has,” former Penn State assistant Jay Paterno told The Chicago Tribune in 2005. “Hey, Kerry Collins was outstanding. But nobody has meant more to us in leadership and making plays.” Just saying baby …Jay knows 😂
Or Iooohwa. It ain't over until the clock is done ticking. Jay, has ridden off into the sunset.
