I don’t Believe James Franklin was tying his hands and I definitely don’t believe James Franklin was telling him the plays to run just like I never believed we were holding back on offense the first 3 games if anything was holding AK back it was the QB because the offense looked damn good when Pribula was playing QB. I’ve said it a 100 times, DA was killing the offense and killing everything we wanted to do on offense.
@southern-psu-fan I have said for years it is on Franklin sorry to disagree Southern but this has been a problem since he has been here. Don't forget him icing his own kicker, I think he should have been gone for that.
You are telling me with one of the best Offensive Lines in the country with 2 of the best running backs in the country that we can't run the football? We aren't as effective as we should be because EVERY team plays 8 guys in the box with the free safety cheating up because he doesn't use formations and motion to create mismatches for his players...This isn't a talent issue...I can't understand it...Look at his Kansas tape then look at the Penn State tape...2 different things entirely...I am at a loss to explain this...Makes no sense to me...

We agree on how good this team is because it is good and deep. Ask Homer how bad it is watching it live because tv don’t give it justice on how bad it was.

When the chatter dies down, send the "selection Team" out again. Use this opportunity to create chaos and use it to your advantage. Do not rush the decision; there is no need to hurry. Seemed like prior to JFF's LT Contract there were places interested in him. I'm sure he and his agent didn't mind as it helped their leverage. And JFF didn't make much effort to squelch the rumors. His standard answer was as meaningless as 'I take responsibility'.
I'd also like to hear an honest answer from coaches. Wouldn't it be nice to hear one say 'no, I'm not interested in PSU and they are not interested in me" Can you imagine Schiano saying 'Sure PSU is interesting to me and about 50 other coaches! I'm Nebraska's coach and I am 100% working to go 1-0 this week. Next question about Cornhusker Football?'
It's a no win response if you say, "I'm 100% committed to our program, players and season", or "Sure, I've been contacted and I listen", there's a point where there needs to be mutual respect for the lack of loyalty in today's time and game, otherwise everybody is just a liar to some degree. If you want honesty, get rid of long term contracts and go 3 years and afterwards merit increase on a yearly basis; and player wise, go back to sit your ass out for one year in you transfer and your not eligible for NIL money for the transfer year and have to pay back your previous commitment. Nope, ain't gonna happen.

I do understand it... James Franklin nuetered their creativity because he wanted to "establish the run"I ain't talking about the defenses he coached against or even the results...I am talking about his use of formations and motion to create space and get guys open...Fundamentally this offense has no resemblance to what he ran when he was at Kansas...I hate to say it but it looks just like the offense the guy before him ran outside of a vanilla gadget play now and then...There is NO creativity whatsoever...NONE, Zip, Zero and friggin NADA...There is no mystery in that offense and to gameplan against them is as easy as it gets...I don't understand it...
