I watched the first half last night and the kid played pretty dang good but it was a warmup game for Missouri. He did what he was supposed to do.

You beat me to it Southern. All told, he completed 23 of 28 passes for 283 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Nice start for Beau!
I mean... he better look good against a .500 FCS team. LMAO
Glad he played well though
Southern, Thanks for the reminder, I'll watch the replay. We got to see a very entertaining game in Birmingham last evening and met the UAB Athletic Director.
@tae-buetel I bet that was cool. Penn St football tomorrow buddy 😁🏈🇺🇸
GT tonight against Prime and the Buffalos. Good luck Southern!@tae-buetel I bet that was cool. Penn St football tomorrow buddy 😁🏈🇺🇸
@roaminglion they killing me right now with 3 turnovers lol
@been-there-ii it was first quarter when I posted that and you are correct my brother, there’s no such thing as a bad wins wins like last night are the best wins. Find a way to win and GT did 😁🏈🇺🇸🍺
@southern-psu-fan I really enjoy the game day atmosphere in Birmingham. The total attendance was reported to be just under 30k, but I think that was overstated.
My wife and I had an easy drive down I-65 during the late afternoon and grabbed an early dinner a block away from the stadium on the street where the "Blazer Walk" is held. While we were eating, my wife noticed that the Athletic Director (AD) was standing on the sidewalk before the start of the "Blazer Walk". When we walked outside, the AD was talking to a couple of guys that my wife recognized as podcasters who talk about the UAB Blazer sports teams. I encouraged my wife to introduce herself. When she declined, I walked over and said my wife was a fan. We then had a short discussion with the podcasters and the AD before walking away. Later, my wife mentioned that the podcasters were sometimes critical of the AD and his decisions. There are some people who are very unhappy with Coach Trent Dilfer - I am not one of them. Dilfer doesn't need to work; he is doing it to make a difference in the lives of young men.
Penn State will face a former UAB player during the game against Indiana. Lee Beebe Jr. transferred from UAB to Indiana this year. Dilfer has stated that he encourages his players with the potential to play at the top-tier schools to use the transfer portal. He also has stated that he tells players if he thinks they are going to transfer and will be buried on the depth chart.
While nearly all the players are not at a skill level to be considered by the larger programs, they are talented. As a result, the games are usually highly entertaining. This year, UAB will host Akron, Army, Memphis, North Texas, and USF. Since USF just laid the wood to Boise, that might be a game that is not entertaining for UAB fans.
Missouri in a shootout and Pribula looking good in the clutch. Just took the lead 35-31 ESPN 2
@southern-psu-fan Yeah he's having one hell of a game... 30 of 39 for 300+ yards and 3 TDs
I am late to this party...I always said Allar is the guy to keep between the 2...I think you were right on this one Southern...They got rid of the wrong guy...
When Paul came out of HS, the theme around him was, he just plays to win and knows how to win. The dude is a gamer, like McSorley, not the most gifted but the dude refuses to lose and plays it out till the end.
I feel like he has the mind and the heart like some of our past QB's that start with Mc. But when you have a prototypical NFL 5* with the big arm it is hard to make the tough decision unless it is very obvious. Not saying it was.
Beau had a good game, good for him, hopefully we don't need a backup.
@underlion I feel pretty good about Gronkmeyer if we need him, hopefully we won’t need him.
IMO, DA is a prototypical QB to some degree e.g. big arm, big size, decent mobility; however after 3 years is not consistently elite so to speak. And, imo, this is more of a loyalty play. Reminds me of Morelli, Hack, and a few others; hopefully I'm wrong about DA as the season progresses because he is not going to get benched.
Say or think what you want, but a coach like Saban, Myers, ect would have probably moved on by now, especially if the second guy has shown some moxie/promise.
@underlion I feel pretty good about Gronkmeyer if we need him, hopefully we won’t need him.
GRUNK !!
Give Pribula the Heisman I’ve seen enough.
Drew is definitely under more pressure. History suggests he doesn't like pressure.
Just win baby! If we lose in a hard fought game I can deal with it but if we lose in a game like the ND game I’ll be crying like broke dick dawg again…right now we’re 2-0 😂
Absolutely, Southern, if we keep winning, I'll be a happy camper. What worries me is that Drew needs to step up his game for us to beat the big boys. I just don't see him doing that the way he's played so far this year. I've been pulling for him, but he just hasn't come through yet.
