With the Big 12 already having a division-less model, and the PAC 12 scrapping their divisions for the coming season as well it's rumored that the Big 10 is mulling over this possibility. It would mean all 14 teams would be in one conference with no divisions, play 8 or 9 games against other teams in the conference, and the top 2 by record (or various tie breakers) would play in the title game. No more west division sacrifices that always lose (the west has never won a championship game), it could be Penn State vs. Ohio State is they finished #1 and #2.

When a team like Northwestern plays in the title game, that’s good for their program which in turn is good for the conference. But not having divisions ensures that the two best teams play for the championship.
I always thought it was good that some smaller schools made the NCAA basketball tournament by virtue of winning their conference. St. Peter’s became the sweetheart of college basketball in 2022.
There are lots of ways to look at this

Is this open to the possibility of rematches?
Pretty much the way it use to be, right? Play 10 conference games and 2 OOC games. Just my opinion to play 10 conference games

No, before there were no conference title games. This would be the 2 best teams playing for the title, where before they just settled it with tiebreakers if 2 or more teams had the same record
Thanks, Roam. That could make for some interesting re-do's, especialy between us & the Suckeyes.
Why not play all in-conference games ? Just saying......

Because you'd likely alienate the voters and no one would make the playoff having not played anyone outside of your own conference.
@southern-psu-fan lol Was there ever any question about it being rigged? Where the hell's FD?!?
@rip I'm all for eye candy, preferably redheads!
I have no objection to this. Sounds good to me.
@rip Roam just admitted it’s rigged 😂
LMAO! Well no, if you select a team from a conference that only plays each other while everyone else is playing 3-4 OOC games... then it WOULD be rigged!

There's an ad that is continuously popping up on this website for me called uncensored beach photos. I hope others are getting to see it too.

@roaminglion some might argue that more big 10 games might be tougher than the OOC teams we play besides the big games games like auburn. Ohio and C Michigan are gimme games. Just saying

Hard to prove that when no one in your conference plays anyone else.
@southern-psu-fan Makes for a pretty poor showing, when the conference champ can't put up a decent game in the college playoffs....oh wait B1G does that now.
@roaminglion I’m for playing Alabama it’s teams like Central Michigan and Ohio that people don’t want to watch. I believe playing other big 10 teams will be more competitive. One tough OOC game and 11 big 10 games might be better I can see it.
I know that’s right BT lol
