I am sure you already knew this, but #16 isn't a bad start to the season. If these guys can get it together out of the gate and keep it going until October 29th, we could see a top 5 showdown....maybe!  I got my eye on this ND vs Ohio State game.  Oregon got it done last year, so maybe the Irish keep it going!!  Of course, we Penn State fans know how this can go for us too! Purdue, Auburn and Michigan on the road before the Buckeyes come to town is already enough to make me nervous!!

I caught some of the practice film and saw Cliff a little.  I know it is early, but he didn't impress me too much in the 5 min video I saw. He looked a lot like he did last year.  Honestly, I know it is only practice and it just started, but I expected more out of him as the Offense Leader AT PRACTICE!!  Just didn't look like he improved much and wasn't very crisp! But hey, some of the receivers looked solid!!

All good!  August is here, wrapping up any last summer projects I have so I can ready some for some Football! Not wishing my summer away, but I am getting a little anxious!! Hope we have a good season!!!

GO STATE!

Do you happen to have a video clip that you can share? I want to see his foot work and stance.

I'll tell you what, I'm much less concerned with the QB situation than I was last year! I felt like if Clifford went down we were in trouble... and it happened. This year with Villeux, and the two highly touted freshman I am much, MUCH less concerned about are chances if Clifford was to be injured again.

Villeux might be better than Clifford. I believe had Villeux been the backup last year we would’ve beat Iowa and Illinois.

Meh, he only played against Rutgers in a game where the defense held RU to 160 yards total. IMO it's really hard to say how good he is or isn't just from that.

@roaminglion

I am with Southern on this one, he would have done much better than Roberson (IMO).  But last year is over and hopefully as you state, that type of situation should be over now with the QB depth that they have now....should be, that is!

Going to be very interesting very early starting with Purdue.  I don't see any reason that Penn State can't win this game by 2 or 3 TD's.  They have got to have a running game (now). Of all the things they had to improve on, this had to be on their top priority.   We shall see very soon!

I just see Villeux getting better and Clifford is probably at his best the last 2 years. It was just one game but it was a good game we’ll have to wait and see. I thought Rutgers played pretty good on defense but it was Rutgers.
