I personally thought the way Michigan man handled Wisconsin was impressive but after watching NW do the same thing make me think Michigan is good but if you get pressure on the QB like ND did we can beat ‘em. The win against Wisconsin doesn’t look as good now is what I’m trying to say. If we can cut down on the penalties and catch the football and for goodness sake don’t put it on the ground we will win the game. Our defense is getting after the QB now and IMO that’s what Michigan struggles with. The games I’ve watched them play Patterson doesn’t like to be pressured. It’s goi g to be a good one baby.
Our offense needs to play well, because Michigan's D is no joke. We are on the road and it will be very tough. OLine needs to have a great game.
If PS is to successfully pressure the QB, I believe it will have to be from the DE's; Matos and Miller. Don't see the DT's getting much done up the middle.
I think the OL gets a bad wrap. If our receivers catch the ball it would take pressure of the OL. These 22 drops we’ve had are a killer, it keeps the chains from moving, make play calling harder, kills momentum and keeps the offense from getting any rhythm and puts the defense back on the field. I believe the OL is just fine we just need to catch the ball.
PSU will have to play perfectly in addition to being lucky to win.
Feel a lot better about this Michigan game after the way we finished off Iowa. The team will have some of their lost swagger back I think. Defense took a major step forward with pressuring the QB and gained confidence by being able to close a close game. If McSorley is healthy and has a good game, our receivers catch the ball and Pinegar continues to hit FGs we'll be in this game. I just hope the refs (Delaney's posse) or poor coaching decisions don't swing the game the other way.
Gonna need success throwing (and catching) the ball because I'm pretty sure Meatchicken will be able to stuff the run.
Somebody beside Trace has got to start carrying the mail. Figure out a way to get Hamler in space with screens. Maybe some of the young receivers like Shorter could contribute.
UM will definitely be fired up for this one based on what we did to them last year. We have to play well early in the game to keep the morale up and do some matriculatin' as the game goes on. (Hank Stram)
You just watch, Franklin has a surprise for ol' Hairball. He's gonna fool him by putting 2 quarterbacks in the backfield - Michigan will be so fooled, so unprepared for this, it will just blow this game wide open!
