I keep seeing our PSU Bloggers worry about our pass rush on YouTube. They are primarily yapping about a rush end and I ask this simple question. How important is a rush end in the era of 'No Holds Barred' Protect the QB College Football. ND never got called for holding in the playoff game. Does OSU get called for holding against us? When do they call a hold in the B10?
Is $ better spent on DB's? Hybrid LB/End rushers that confuse?
I have watched our highly rated rush ends rush wide while teams run off tackle and average 7 yards
I guess you need to put some pressure on the QB but you are not allowed to sack him...
To what degree has rush end become of less value because of officiating? And as bad as it is early in a game it seems like Hockey at the end of the game...no penalties at all.
Depth is the issue on this team at a lot of positions including DE. If we have injury issues at those positions teams will find a way to exploit it despite the refs.
@psujoe depth is a problem for every team today because of NIL and the transfer portal. Dude on locked on had a guy on and they both were comparing the starters of last years position players vs this years and if I remember correctly RB’s and the QB were really the only advantage last years team had on this years team but both of ‘em are full of it if they believe DA is better than Rocco if last years team had Rocco we had a chance to win the NC. I believe we were a top 5 team the day we played Clemson Grunk was on fire and he was in control of the offense and it brought an attitude to the team. We going to surprise some people homer and I also believe James Peoples will make some noise baby.
