The Pac 12 really needs the Ducks to win the Rose Bowl, because if they don't it looks horrible for their league. Especially if the Badgers blow them out, that would truly be catastrophic.
I know the committee says they don't take into account previous years, but I think that's BS. I think in the back of their minds will be that all three ranked teams from the Pac-12 lost in the bowl games, and lost bad. They will not be getting any benefit of the doubt...
There are two power divisions right now, SEC West and Big 10 East. The B10 had the chance of making the divisions more balanced but blew it.
MSU, Rutgers and MD were disappointing this year or the B10 East would have been even rougher.

I don't know, I think the Big Ten West proved itself mighty nicely this year. Iowa destroyed USC and played us pretty tight.
At least this year Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa made a pretty good top three. I also think Frost is going to have Nebraska back in the rankings for good in a year or two, but of course that's just my opinion...
I think the Big Ten is really on an upswing right now, both divisions.
Nebraska was way down IMO Frost needs 5 years because the more you change coaches the further behind you get. If he’s not winning 9 or 10 games in his 5th then maybe a change is needed but I really think he gets ‘em back because they’re losing close games so that tells me he needs a few more play makers.
So right Nebraska had good classes recruiting in 2017: 23th / 2018: 23th / 2019: 18th and now 2020: 20th
Before that I don't believe they had a top 25 recruiting class for 4 or 5 years. Add to it that he had some guys leave the program because they didn't buy into his system, and he had a pretty decent build to undertake there.
So Frost is starting to build some talented depth in that roster, but for the past two years it's been very, very young. IMO they will go to a bowl game next year, and probably in year 4 they're going to contend for the West division title.
That said I wouldn't put it past Nebraska to contend next year, just saying if I had to guess it would be year 4.
