We really have no data to work with at the college level. Hundreds if not thousands come out of High School with all the hype in the world but never make a dent at the college ranks. All I can say for sure is - Fields was a talented high school football player.
Same goes for the NFL - hundreds coming out of college thinking they will be the next franchise player in the NFL - and boom, doesn't leave a dent.
