Our women’s disc thrower Allman won the gold. I believe we’re 1 gold medal behind on gold but dominating the world in sports 😁🇺🇸 there’s some sports I’m watching that we’re doing good in and winning but I don’t know the names of the sports

@southern-psu-fan Not that I've ever seen. You hear a little about it, but not much.

@southern-psu-fan Beats me. Gotta have a pool, most small schools don't have one. To me, it feels a little like regular polo, rich persons sport.

Let's put it this way...

Every team that's won the Water Polo NCAA championship was from California, and only once has a team outside of California even placed 2nd: Pacific University in Oregon.

Needless to say, yeah it's much bigger out west. Specifically California

Technically speaking... I guess the Big Ten has 22 Water Polo championships not because of UCLA and USC. LMAO

I love Brad Nesler and Wes Durham but I put Leigh Diffey up there with anybody calling sports. I love hearing this dude calling the Olympics. I believe he works for NBC sports. I’ve heard him before but I don’t know what on I just remember his voice doing sports. Maybe it’s just the Olympics lol

@psujoe  I love both but wrestling and boxing is in summer Olympics and I love both sports. Man I literally had a tear when I seen that girl start crying when she give up because she couldn’t fight the man. This shit pisses me the F off man I felt so sorry for her. She worked her whole life for the Olympics and this nonsense goes on. It takes a lot to get me this emotional but my heart bleeds for her. I just can’t believe we’ve got this stupid. Excuse my French I’m pissed off about this. Did you see her start crying?

That isn't a man, it's a woman. She has been competing in the sport for years, including last Olympics where she lost in the quarterfinals.

She and another boxer failed some sort of test about a year ago, and now the news idiots have run with it calling it a "gender test" like they're trans in disguise.

It's more likely they had high testosterone levels at the time, or were caught doping in some fashion that through off their hormone levels.

The Olympics does not allow men to box women. If they are men, as I said they are hiding it very well. Lmao

Sorry but that thing is not a woman, never has been and never will be. It’s a nutcase whack job that belongs in a good old fashioned insane asylum just like the bearded cleaning girl at my work that just had her boobs removed.

Saying the IOC won’t allow it is almost as bad as saying the NCAA is great at enforcing it’s rules.

And grown 78 year old men shouldn't be putting orange makeup on.

I believe Spencer Lee got silver which is awesome but he seems to be disappointed. Being the best in the USA doesn’t mean you’re the best in the world wrestling is a hard ass sport. Cheer up Lee you did good.

Southern,  I'm not much of a NASCAR fan. Just wondering what is the hardest track to race on? Are all tracks sloped for centripetal force? It's amazing how a car that's so light  hugs the track going that fast. Physics

@mastert the Southern 500 at Darlington is definitely the most challenging race in NASCAR. It’s a brutal race. There all hard but that one is the toughest.

DARLINGTON, S.C. — “Too Tough to Tame.” “The Lady in Black.”

When a race track has multiple nicknames, you can bet it’s among the toughest for NASCAR drivers to get around.

Darlington Raceway fits the bill for the monikers with its uniqueness as a narrow, asymmetrical 1.366-mile oval.

Rarely, if ever, will you see the outside retaining walls squeaky clean after races as drivers flirt inches away from the wall while searching for speed. Some can make it the full distance without ever touching the wall but most hot rods, searching for speed up top, will don the patented ‘Darlington stripe,’ leaving vibrant paint schemes scuffed and fenders bent.

Brad Keselowski, winner of the 2018 Southern 500, knows all too well the courage it takes just to enter Turn 1 at Darlington.

RELATED: Darlington schedule | At-track photos

“It takes guts. I mean, there’s no way around it. You know, this track is very intimidating,” Keselowski said. “You’re going to hit the wall here. At some point, you have to almost accept that. But I mean, you can’t back down from the challenge.”

Besides the opening ceremonies these Olympics games were awesome. I’m not going to blame our athletes for what other folk do. The dude Fisher won another bronze medal in a running sports we usually struggle in that dude stepped up big and walked away with 2 bronze medals I believe. I was hoping our men wrestling would win gold but they still did good and the women did great. That was some great sports the last 2 weeks and I believe we stepped up and showed the world we still have the best athletes in the world.
