Lmao@roaminglion So the FD gets away with sarcasm but when I do what he did I get the strawman shit? What’s up with that lol
If I were the OC, I would have a receiver streaking deep down the Penn State sideline on every play. Use the 2nd and 3rd string receivers as the streaker and have them rotate every play. It gives #15 an outlet on every play, he doesn't have to be concerned with getting out of the pocket, and the defense will have to commit a defender. What the Penn State offense is doing now allows all players on the defense to be 7 to 9 yards off the line of scrimmage and the Penn State receivers are just decoys on nearly all plays.
And I would also not play to the strength of the other team or send so many plays into the short-side.
Yes, Allar is the answer to what has plagued the program for 9+ years, 6 years longer than Allar has played. Makes senseSo you don't think Allar is any good...Fantastic...He has cost them how many big games so far? Put the backup in and see what happens...I can tell you this much...If the backup succeeds then you have your answer as to what the problem is...
Roam,
DA may not be an all-american and may be as bad as Southern and FD claim but:
1. Plays with half a play book in the passing game. Very few 5-7 yd slants, deep crossing routes, or deep passes. Few draws or screens. And God forbid throwing down the middle.
2. Poor pass play design; the chief mission of the pass game seems to be not have an interception. How does Pena have 83 catches at Scuse but is on schedule for about 50 here (he probably cost himself a few draft spots).
3. OL play has been mediocre at best.
4. Wastes 5 seconds reading from his wrist band before plays. Why? Did not see the Ore QB or the OSU QB do that. Use that time at the line of scrimmage to see what the defense is doing.
5. Has an OC who has not altered the offense to allow for a pocket passer.
I think that he will be the QB for the rest of the season and I for one hope he does well.
