Turned out to be an ok Saturday with the domers & Meatchicken going down. You know, Southern, as ugly as our win was, being in that type of game probably did the team more good than a blowout would have. Anyway, we're 2-0 and it doesn't get any better than that. Jimmy has a lot to "clean up" starting with the penalty problems. Hope our DC learned something today and gets his act & his players together!
@rip defense played very well second half. 11 needs to go back to LB’r maybe playing a few plays at DE. DA is the one I’m proud of that dude has picked up his game. @rip I believe BG has a good football team and Tom Allen made adjustments and shut them down in the second half. I noticed #11 was playing LB’r a lot during the second half. Bottom line is we settled down and got the win we can work on what we struggled with the next 2 weeks to get better. We didn’t pull a ND 😂🇺🇸🍺 its race day in Atlanta baby and ole southern will be there 😁 let’s go #6….we won baby just be happy!
Looks like Oregon had another tough game but it’s early and they’re breaking in a new QB. USC played good and Illinois might be a tough game they beat Kansas.

I was at the game vs BG and their QB Connor Bazelak played an incredible first half, he couldn’t miss. He took the air out of the entire stadium, it was wild to see. With that being said, he’s no slouch off the street, he was a starter for Missouri and Indiana. Much like we saw with NIU vs ND, these MAC teams can be dangerous. I’m glad I went to the game, it was a dogfight and the PSU crowd was hyped in the second half and contributed to multiple offsides and timeouts. I hope BG wins the MAC, they have a lot of heart.

Yeah, you ain't kidding. I can rattle off quite a few teams with patsy cupcake schedules. Raises A1C, glucose levels.
I had some idiot behind me who kept hitting me with her pom poms ( and yelling at the top of her voice) and I was not able to concentrate on my play calling in the first half. Once I got THAT taken care of, I was able to get things under control and settle the team down. Sorry for the nail biter, but I don't think that will happen again until Ohio State comes to down. LOl
I wish we would have won by at least 17 or more, but all in all, I felt like Penn State played pretty well. Some drops, costly penalties and it took the D a little too long to wake up. And you can't take anything away from BG. They played a great game but in the end, Penn State just had too much power that wore BG down. Illinois will be a good test for this team. I think they are playing well and if they beat Nebraska before they come to Happy Valley, it is going to be real good test for the Lions.
Personally, I think Penn State is going to be just fine and this bye week is going to help a lot. If they let Kent State hang around for than 10 minutes, then we might have something to worry about. But I doubt that will happen.

This is a team with a lot of new faces. it will take a few games to get their feet wet. I don’t have a problem with close games like Saturday especially playing a team that has a good QB but win the dang game regardless of how the win comes, just win. ND found a way to lose while we found a way to win. Every game ain’t going to be a blow out we’ll probably have another game or 2 that’s nail biters that’s college football especially if you’re a Penn St fan being a defensive team most of the time you win a lot of close games lol I wish we could’ve played one more game before the bye week. You gotta get all the pieces lined together to get a shot at the NC and I’m feeling pretty good about this season. DA is playing like an elite 5* QB right now and had we had this play from him last year we would’ve had a great chance making the playoffs and possibly winning it all. Now I’m seeing the QB that my son and Homer was bragging about 2 years ago. It’s never too late to jump on the bandwagon baby especially if it’s Penn St winning football games 😁. Man the sun was brutal yesterday at the race in Atlanta and we had a great time. We cooked out brats, hot dawgs and Hamburgers had had a few cold ultras to wash the food down 😂 #6 had a good car but never could get any track position to get the lead. Pits stops struggled yesterday they never could gain any track position they actually lost 10 to 15 positions at crucial times and it killed his chances. It was an awesome race though.
The real question is if ND runs the table will they put em in? My guess is they will...
