Just read on pennlive that this kid is positioning himself into some early playing time. I’m feeling good about this kid being the real deal. We’ve recruited pretty good going by the stars at RB the last couple of years but I ain’t seen it on the field. We’ve got some ok RB’s but nothing nasty like LJ, Sanders or Barkley. I know them are some big shoes to fill but to compete in the top 10 you gotta fill ‘em and Singleton just might be the dude that can fill ‘em. Looking forward to the spring game to watch some of the young studs go at it.
Here's to hoping we actually see the O line be a strength this year...or at least not liability. Then there may get some holes to run through.
It would be nice to see some holes up front and maybe even some down field blocking & then some additional yardage after initial contact! A fellow can dream, can't he?

It's nice to have a full RB room, but what we really need is someone to step up and be the man! IMO running back by committee just ain't working.
I liked Holmes too. What it all boils down to, I think we need a back that can take 20+ carries a game and get stronger as he goes on. I'd like to see a north-south type of runner instead of the guys that are auditioning for Dancing with the Stars!
@been-there-ii Heck, while we're wishing: i wouldnt mind seeing a fullback smashing up the middle every now and again. Since today is April Fool's day anything is possible
I've been wishing for a fullback for a loooooong time. We had two pretty decent FB's, but we lost them to Mississippi St. & Kentucky.
I’m reading some good things about Olu Fashanu at OT. He’s a 4* and this dude is huge 6’5 329lbs. Singleton should get some nice yardage running behind this dude.

Tackles were never our problem, we need better interior lineman. Center and Guards need to be MUCH better.
Unless it's developed!
That's my point Bob. At some point the potential has got to produce, not just be another year in waiting.
We’ve had a lot of guys go on to the NFL so I believe we’re gettin ‘em developed we’re having a problem putting the pieces together on the field. James Franklin has done an outstanding job recruiting and putting guys in the NFL he’s just struggled coaching the last 2 years for whatever reason?

In the past 5 years Michigan and even Miami have had more people drafted than we have. That's not developing talent at the scale we need to be elite.
@roaminglion we’ve put 24 at 11th Georgia put 27 at 6th so I’m not seeing it on the field the last 2 years
Are we developing certain individuals (in spots and in low numbers), but not developing cohesive units (i.e. OLine play)?
