Somebody posted an article a little while back on how the SEC pulls their shenanigans with the rankings to rig the system...They have managed to do it again with this new playoff system...Unlike last season there is going to be a strength of schedule component built into the rankings system for this season...So lookie here...What a shocker...Lets take a look at the pre season top 25 shall we?

This was taken from the AP pre season rankings...I am going to do the real punch line when I show you the ESPN computer rankings...
But this is a pretty funny one to start with...10 teams from the SEC in the top 25 to start the season...I guess they had a tough time squeezing any more in there as they only have 16 teams in the league...🤣
And that ladies and gentlemen is how you rig a system...The B1G conference which has had the last 2 national champs has 6 teams in the top 25...
The main thing the SEC wants to get as many of these playoff games in their own backyard as possible...They can't have their teams traveling north in December because they will get their heads kicked in like they did last year...
The farce is right in front of your eyes...That article was the best article I have seen on College Football in a long time...That guy hit the nail right on the head...
Now lets check out the ESPN College Football Power Index shall we...I am gonna warn all of you ahead of time this one is a doozy even by ESPN standards...Check it out and have a good laugh...I am not even going to comment on this...The list speaks for itself...I want to note this is how they try to set the narrative and rig this thing just as the author of that piece so eloquently said...Without further ado laugh away...

Just to save you folks some work 9 of the top 13 are from the SEC conference...Nothing to see here...This is all on the up and up...🤣
UAB Blazers, 9th from the bottom, but I will travel to Birmingham to see them on Thursday night. The Blazers are probably ranked appropriately, but I hope they exceed the expectations.
Thanks for the information FD - the ranking seems skewed.
@the-funeral-director look at that homer, the Ga Tech yellow jackets are climbing back to the top baby 😂 Colorado gone get that ass kicked Thursday night too.
@southern-psu-fan Let's hope Neon loses some of his shine.
My lord, I swear the SEC could fart and you'd say they were rigging the weather to benefit them.
My gosh....everything is a "HOAX".
Not many fans want to travel north for a football game sitting in 11 degree weather the bowl games were set up to make money and the fans up north wanted a break from the cold weather that’s why the bowl games are played way down south in Florida, LA, California places where you have beautiful weather in the winter time places where The GOAT JOE PATERO had no problem taking his teams and kicking some ass in. He actually won more playoff games than any other coach and he did it by only getting 1 game a year just imagine under this system today how many he would have the goat would probably have around 50 playoff wins and 7 or 8 NC’s damn it boy I miss that dude. The only thing ever rigged was the Voters voting on who the best team was 5 undefeated seasons and only 2 NC’s is a crime against the man. Had Slick Nick, Switzer, Osborne all had 5 undefeated seasons they would’ve got NC’s out of every one of ‘em that’s what is rigged, it’s who these scumbags voters like not necessarily who the best team was under the old system. Whoever wins the most games is the best…wins have to matter! 409 baby when somebody beats that shit they can claim to be the best pure and simple! Let’s go Penn St! 😁🇺🇸🍺🏈
What’s the point? Oregon is the 3rd best B10 team in both these polls, they’ve been in the B10 one year, which they won the B10 and beat both the teams ranked ahead of them from the B10 in the polls you listed. What’s that say about the B10 which supposed to be the equivalent if not the superior conference to the SEC. If you watch the draft and you watch football on Sundays it’s easy to see why things are the way they are, not to mention the South is a huge football market much bigger than the North East.
You said it, Southern. The really impressive part is, he did it the right way. No Dodge Chargers, NIL $$$ or 7 yr players!
@roaminglion "My lord, I swear the SEC could fart and you'd say they were rigging the weather to benefit them." No they are just rigging the system as I have shown above...I will give you credit as the weather and geographical location are exactly what they are trying to rig...They want to host the games and avoid at all cost playing in the North in the cold...They already changed their ranking algorithm to some cheesy strength of schedule module which you can rig if you rank all of your teams in the top 20 so they are all playing "top 20 Opponents"...A joke but people are on to it now...That article from a little while back hit the nail right on the head...

What conference dominated the playoffs last year and has won the last 2 national championships? I will drop the mic now...
Michigan beat Alabama 19-13, they only scored 3 points in the second half and it came down to the final play. Hardly a dominant performance. Anyway, B10 has 4 nattys in the last 25 years, the SEC has won 12.
You haven't shown anything. The AP poll is not controlled by ESPN. It is literally made up of reporters from every network and newspaper. Many of them work for Fox or are unaffiliated, they couldn't give a flying f%$& what ESPN or the SEC wants@roaminglion "My lord, I swear the SEC could fart and you'd say they were rigging the weather to benefit them." @kularrow simple answer to that question is who won the game? I don't care about style points or anything else...Who won the game? It really is that simple...
@the-funeral-director you said “dominated” not me. I just simply pointed out that’s not the case and choosing national championships won is awful metric to try to prove your point here.
I am starting to creep up in years but let me ask you a quick question Kularrow...Was any of Ohio State's playoff games ever in doubt? Look at the scores...If my memory serves me right they beat Texas by 2 scores in basically their own building the Cotton Bowl...The Notre Dame game wasn't nearly as close as the score indicated as well...
Texas had the ball inside OSU's 10 with less than 6 minutes left, down by 7. Yes, it was tight, OSU forced a fumble and scoop and scored.I am starting to creep up in years but let me ask you a quick question Kularrow...Was any of Ohio State's playoff games ever in doubt? Look at the scores...If my memory serves me right they beat Texas by 2 scores in basically their own building the Cotton Bowl...The Notre Dame game wasn't nearly as close as the score indicated as well...
That gane was close, as was today.
Thank you for the memory refresh Roam...that was a close game as was today's game...The same team won both of them and I suspect if they played each other 10 times Ohio State would win at least 7 of em...
