Every team will have the option to choose in helmet communication for 1 player on the field now, most likely being the QB for offense. Whomever runs the defense I assume would have one as well.
Also, there are automatic timeouts with 2 minutes left in each half. The timeouts are 2 minutes long, and not TV timeouts. So a little different from the 2 minute warning in NFL games, but not by much.
The games are flying by so this should slow the game down a little. We’re in tight games all the time so this rule should benefit us.
It’s about time for the helmets !! The two minute timeout I could live without, nothing more than an opportunity for commercial revenue IMO.
It was specifically stated that it would not be a TV timeout, though I'm sure they will figure out a way to monetize it.It’s about time for the helmets !! The two minute timeout I could live without, nothing more than an opportunity for commercial revenue IMO.
The NCAA isn't calling it a TV timeout, but I can't see how they could stop the TV people from running commercials during this lull in the action!

Yep,,Probably “A quick word from our sponsors”
I really don't care for it. Getting like the NFL. Why? Because of the sign stealing scandal?Give me a break.
"College football is ready to put the signs away. Following a sign-stealing scandal that rocked the sport and hung over Michigan's championship run in 2023, the NCAA's football oversight committee approved Friday the use of coach-to-player helmet communications in games for the 2024 season"
