I'd suggest he was handicapped (Remember Sandusky) but you may be right that it isn't his 'forte'. I'd propose he hoped his name and experience world recruit. The recruiting is so difficult now. It is constant (Portal) with NIL to boot.
I was kind of kidding.
It wasn't the QB, it was Franklin. Stop blaming a QB for 9+ years of never being eliteY’all think a lot is wrong with Penn St when I don’t. Fix the QB situation and everything else will fix itself. Get a QB that can lead the team and you’ll see consistency and confidence back in the team this year. James Franklin let a shits show go on for 3 years at QB and it got 9 WR’s run off, 1 OC fired and his ass fired. Lot of shit going on right now and they should’ve fired him after the UCLA game and we’d be a week ahead right now and we could’ve beat NW. we gotta good football team just didn’t have leadership from the head coach or the QB. That changed yesterday and you could hear it in coach Terry Smith’s press conference. That’s good news 😁
In today's world, I think the portal definitely trumps recruiting, but who am I? I'm still living in the times when a commitment was a commitment, lol!
If the QB plays well on Saturday, is hitting WRs, and we look like a functional offense it is absolutely not because a new QB magically made us better.
It would be because Franklin is gone and is not shoving his agenda down Kotelniki's throat. Even if Grunk was the better QB for the offense, that IS STILL ON Franklin.
@roaminglion it’s all James Franklin’s fault I agree 100%. I’ve said many times even today, had DA been in the right offense I believe the kid is one of the best QB’s and I’ve said the kid gives it a 100% nobody tries any harder than DA I’m just judging our offense with him being the QB.
Interesting! But again just someone talking out their ass.
