And the fact that SMU defensive weakness is their secondary while all our receivers allegedly suck while they have more playmakers on offense than we do points to a lot closer game than most of us are expecting. This game is going to be won or lost on the arm of Drew Allar.

I can’t read the whole article but James Franklin said we don’t have a third option at QB unless it’s 44 and that my opinion James Franklin didn’t say that. I say just run the ball down SMU throat and do the same thing against Boise State but against Georgia or ND let it all go run the offense whatever happens, happens. this game will get us to the NC game if we win. It would be nice to get a big lead and let #17 get some snaps I’m excited to see what he’s got I always love seeing new QB’s play.
I would just limit DA on taking hits. He does play smart that’s one of the strengths.

Don't play scared, run your best offense. Of course don't call plays that expose Allar to unnecessary hits, but don't worry about him getting hurt either. It's football and chit happens.
@roaminglion yeah I backed off my first post with the second because I started thinking the same thing just try and limit the hits. He’s a big kid and he plays smart.
My cousin was just offered two tickets for $20 each. Not sure what section, but lots off people complaining about the $120 parking fee and $200+ ticket fees. I am hoping for 90,000+ people, but I would not be surprised to see the lowest attendance ever for a PSU home game vs a ranked team. I hope I am wrong!!!

I can’t shake the feeling that SMU is going to win this game. On paper we should win by more than 20 but when you add in the “Big Game James” factor it’s a tossup. Maybe I listen to too many podcasts but from what I hear Rojas and King better bring their A games stop with the missed tackles.
I was thinking the same about the ponchos downtown and that’s where we park so maybe I’ll pick one up.
IMO this is a must win for Franklin. If he can't get it done, everything will suffer. Recruiting, fan engagement, etc. Whatever hype there is about Penn State will evaporate with a loss.
At that point you kinda just throw your hands up as say "this is who we are". Franklin is Lucy, constantly giving the fans (Charlie Brown) hope and taking it away.
If he can't win this one... he simply can't win big games without flukish plays. Wisconsin in the Big Ten championship? I'd look back at it and wonder if it was really a big game at all. No west division team EVER WON a title game. The only other big wins? Bowl games that no one cares about anymore

Like I said almost two weeks ago if we lose this one you guys will see me in the middle of a downtown State College riot and if no one else wants to riot I guess I’ll be doing it myself.
