Unfortunately things are about to get way more complicated when Florida and Florida State become available. I have a feeling Michigan could open up too.
I doubt Meatchicken will fire anyone this year. Maybe Florida hires JF?

If OSU embarrasses them at home, buckle up. I can see Florida trying to poach Eli Drinkawitz from Mizzou or Lane Kiffin.
They can have Drinawitz, I don't get the facination with him.Unfortunately things are about to get way more complicated when Florida and Florida State become available. I have a feeling Michigan could open up too.

Ain’t nothing hanging on to Joe Paterno I even said Jeff Brohm would be a great hire this dude is a good coach and a offensive minded coach.
Jeff Brohm
Current position: Louisville Head Coach
Age: 54 years old
Brohm’s a guy who’s had success everywhere he’s been. He won at Western Kentucky. He took Purdue to the Big Ten title game in 2022. He had Louisville back in the ACC title game during his first season. He’s a strong offensive mind that generally gets the most out of his quarterbacks — a novel concept! Plus, he’s been able to get big wins, holding a 4-5 record against the top 10 while at Purdue and Louisville. Would he leave his alma mater for Penn State? That’s the $64,000 question.
I propose that JFF had "success with honor'. The problem is we want NC with honor...as does ND I believe. The rest just want a NC.
See this is a problem.
Lets discuss the Penn State football program and why I don't think it should take a back seat to any football program in the country when competing for a football coach...The stadium, facilities, fan base, atmosphere, resources & programs history takes a back seat to nobody...If you are an established coach or an up and coming coach there are a handful of jobs out there that you don't turn down when it's offered to you...Penn State is on that list of jobs that you don't turn down when offered...Depending on who they hire I can expect the compensatory package to this new head coach to be more than 10 mil per year and could get close to 12 or 13 million per year if the hire is a high profile guy...Penn State will have the pick of who they bring in as the next head coach the only question is will they pick the right guy...Penn State has everything to be a dominant program they just need to find the right coach to get them there...
I sounds nice but coaches aren't fans. They don't look at a stadium as a reason to coach there. Cignetti is proving college football has changed, you don't need a blue blood program to win now.Lets discuss the Penn State football program and why I don't think it should take a back seat to any football program in the country when competing for a football coach...The stadium, facilities, fan base, atmosphere, resources & programs history takes a back seat to nobody...If you are an established coach or an up and coming coach there are a handful of jobs out there that you don't turn down when it's offered to you...Penn State is on that list of jobs that you don't turn down when offered...Depending on who they hire I can expect the compensatory package to this new head coach to be more than 10 mil per year and could get close to 12 or 13 million per year if the hire is a high profile guy...Penn State will have the pick of who they bring in as the next head coach the only question is will they pick the right guy...Penn State has everything to be a dominant program they just need to find the right coach to get them there...

I really don’t think this is the case or even remotely close. Florida will be available soon and that’s a more premier destination than Penn State. Penn State won’t even be the most appealing job of the cycle.
@roaminglion it’s a level playing field now with all schools with big money. The SEC has taken a beating losing players.
There does seem to be more parity but then I argue that it is more about NIL $ than anything. I believe Oregon is a big winner in the money game. We do have facilities and we are the big dog in the big eastern market so we should be competitive in the $ game. Then you have playing time, going pro, winning, girls and education.
No more could Joe sell education to parents. That is left for the Ivy's.
