9 tested positive,  9!

Workouts suspended until further notice. For as much as I love the fall season and football I say pull the plug and just wait until 2021. I'm sorry,  I just don't think it's a good idea. That goes for HS football as well.  Seriously,  how can anyone sit back with a good piece of mind and enjoy it? We have a mess in this country and so do others.  The economy is shot! 3 local restaurants have 4 sale signs on them. I love to be an optimist but just wait and see the domino effect in a few months.  Start praying more.

I am interested in how sick these players get. That would impact my decision.

Anyway, the decision to play or not to play should be made by medical people. Not the administrators, coaches, or wealthy alumni.

“The cure should not be worse that the disease.”  Just sayin....

Shouldn't the players have some input into this decision?  Just thinking out loud.....

@rip

Absolutely, you'd think the people taking the risk would have some input.

Really?  Then why not let the players decide if they want to play, the coaches decide if they want to coach, and the fans decide if they want to go to the games.  Why not let the free market decide instead of government bureaucrats?  That's been my position since this started.  I was out in State College yesterday and went to several stores and ate inside.  It seemed perfectly safe to me.  There were plenty of self regulated precautions to make things safe.  There is no need to close things down completely.

Typical strawman argument... I said they should at least have "input", meaning how they feel about it, what their concerns are, etc. which could give those making the decision some insight into how to better make a plan moving forward. You in turn then act like I said they should decide everything.

Having input means the people in charge at least listen to your concerns, it doesn't mean giving them control of the situation. My lord.

I just read on PennLive that the big 10 will play this year but only conference games in all fall sports. That’s going to cost James Franklin 3 wins man 😁. I’ll take 9 games but why can’t we play 14 conference games and that ends the season. I think big when I’m wishing 14 penn st football games baby lol

I believe the season will start but I don't believe they will get more than 3 or 4 games in and too many players will get sick for them to continue to play...I don't see the season making it all the way to the end....

The SEC Commissioner is very nervous about the season, and is waiting until the end of the month to make a decision. The way things are going down south, I'm thinking they will announce a very limited season or just no season at all. The other leagues will probably adjust at that point.

I'm with FD, even if they start I don't think they will finish.
