I had hoped for the best but as I said before the season, 10-2.  The team played hard and deserved better. A couple tough plays and maybe bad calls but we were doomed by coaching. The OC has to go. Two imaginative plays then the same old sh**.  OSU and Mich have retained the same coaches. If like at OSU they don’t perform they get replaced …..and by someone good.  I said it before Mr Allar should have played last year not a 6 year QB. if he had he would have had more poise. To me it was apparent he was a bit unsure. IMHO for several reasons it all breaks down next year. People transfer maybe, one key coach leaves ……da da da. After 60 years of watching this ……blah. The only thing there is to look forward to is losing to USC, Wash and Oregon. Well we might get to the bad girls big b**b bowl.

Lots of high end recruits at this game, not good.

You can blame OC but we’ve had 4 or 5 now and nothing really changes which tells me Franklin has his fingers in the bowl and wants to use mentality of what he did at Vanderbilt. Don’t turn it over and make mistakes. It’s embarrassing the amount of talent this team has and have had for the offense to be so inept.

Yup. Yurcich has a lot of years as OC elsewhere and never constantly and stubbornly ran the ball so much like this. The OC here before him did thr same thing.

It's like the only guy Franklin was hands off with was Moorhead. Everyone else is runn happy

Its because Moorhead smoked Franklin as play caller and apparently had the nuts to tell Franklin to go his room.

After the showing by Allar in big games this season we’re definitely not getting any high end QB recruits.

the goal is to finish 11-2 but we have to give Pribula a chance with the first team offense starting next week against Rutgers just to see if we’re better on offense. I’m sorry but Allar just ain’t getting it done and if Pribula doesn’t think he’s getting a fair shot we can kiss him goodbye after this year. Allar is killing us. Just can’t figure out why JF won’t give another QB a chance he did the same shit with Hack.

@southern-psu-fan I believe we’re going to have a massive exodus this off season and Singleton or Allen or both will most likely be gone but I don’t see Pribula leaving, he’s from my area and from what I’ve heard he bleeds blue and white.

@psujoe  I hope you’re right about Pribula homer. I don’t believe we’ll lose both RB’s but it’s possible we could lose one of ‘em. We just can’t beat Ohio St and Michigan we’re not good enough at QB and JF ain’t going to give another QB a chance I don’t care how bad the QB is stinking up the field. This is the second time he’s done this and I can’t t figure out why. Smh

This is why, seriously; its in his DNA to be loyal to a fault, and he's convinced that he can fit a square peg in a round hole.

It's unfortunate that JF can't see with his ears and listen with his eyes.

IMO he is a classic example of the Peter Principal b/c he has shown what he is consistently good at.

@psujoe I fear we will be known as the place where 5 star quarterbacks go to die.

I've tried to keep an open mind and give the guy the benefit of the doubt, but I've finally come to the conclusion the problem is James.  Refusing to pull QB's, going for stupid 2 point conversions and other questionable decisions, apparently not letting his OC coach, slow to making in-game adjustments, etc., etc.  I think he's an adequate coach against lesser opponents when things are going his way, but when he's up against a really tough opponent and what he has game planned isn't working, he's totally lost.  He has got to go!

The only reason that Singleton wouldn't leave is because he knows the devil in the details at PSU, and it may be better for him to stick it out his third year and hope the draft works out for him. Jumping ship, he better get it right for playing time.

He looks to be a good coach with superior players against inferior teams. Put him back at Vanderbilt now, and with the current status of the SEC, he would get ate alive. His time there was a one off.

At least for one season Hack showed why he was rated so high but this kid really hasn’t shown anything . Allar looks more like a 2 star to me.

@psu61 He was at Vanderbilt 3 years and the SEC was tougher then than it is now.

This. He just wants to do things that are inconsistent with the team sometimes. Run, run, run to a fault. When they start stopping the run? Well just keep running and blast through that wall! Do it until you break them down.

Works against Indiana, not so much against Michigan.

I really don’t know much about the guy but man I’d love to have Utahs coach at PSU. I know even less about Oregons coach but would love to have him too.

Sorry Southern, no way. JF doesn't smell a 4-8 season coaching Vanderbilt today. Like I said his time there was a one off.

Just watching those two offenses is fun and you can see how much further advanced they are, where did that Ute QB come from?lol.

@lakerie  Seems like all the 5* QB’s we get are pocket QB’s and imo they only work with the right team and we’re not one of those teams today and haven’t been for 25 years.

@psu61 Utah coach has to be one of the most underrated coaches in the country. I’ve always felt we would have lost the Rose Bowl if their starting QB doesn’t get hurt.

@psu61 this year the SEC is as bad as I’ve seen in the last 20 years brother. It’s good but not near as dominant

@southern-psu-fan Why, because  Bama lost a game? It’s still head and shoulders above the ACC which has always sucked.
