You will know tomorrow...It should be 1. Michigan 2. Washington 3. Texas 4. FSU...I can assure you that won't be the case because this thing is corrupt...My bet is it will be seeded this way... 1. Michigan 2. Washington 3. Texas 4. Bama...After this they will expose themselves and this whole thing as Booger McFarland of all people said as a beauty contest...The games actually don't matter...You can then say with 100% certainty that this thing is a farce...
I don’t have an issue with leaving FSU out. They’ve beaten no one and Bama,Texas,GA,OSU and maybe even PSU would have destroyed them tonight. And Meatchicken being #1 is laughable.
I'd make it:
- Michigan
- Washington
- Florida State
- Texas
@roaminglion Texas will win that tournament
I think Michigan plays Washington and Washington wins it...I think Washington is the best team
Y’all see now what ole southern has been saying since this shit started. No way in hell do you leave Penn St out after they beat Ohio St on the field and win the big 10 championship that shit was done on purpose with the help of Jim Delany. The part the funeral director doesn’t understand is that the big 10 conference is right in the middle of this shit helping pull the strings. 2023 we should have a playoff system where nobody opinions matters it’s all done by what’s done on the field just like the NFL does.
We had two losses and, one to an unranked team and the other a complete blowout. Stop comparing apples to oranges, no 2 loss team has ever made it.Y’all see now what ole southern has been saying since this shit started. I was 60/40 on Bama and FSU. I thought they woukd take FSU, but it could be Bama. I dont think it's "corrupt" as Alabama does have a case for sure... but I feel bad for FSUYou will know tomorrow...It should be 1. Michigan 2. Washington 3. Texas 4. FSU...I can assure you that won't be the case because this thing is corrupt...My bet is it will be seeded this way... 1. Michigan 2. Washington 3. Texas 4. The committee had two whole weeks to drop FSU after they lost their QB, they didn’t. The same committee selected Cincinnati and Michigan St under similar circumstances. They’ve known they were keeping FSU out they should have just dropped them after the injury. It’s obvious the committee felt pressure to put an SEC team in the playoffs coupled with they don’t want another blow out in the NC. FSU deserved to be in but I can see how the committee doesn’t want to see another uncompetitive playoffs.
Nah... it's obvious they gave FSU a couple weeks to show what their offense was like without their QB. Their offense was not good in that time, so they dropped them to 5. Had they looked like a capable offense last night, they'd be in.The committee had two whole weeks to drop FSU after they lost their QB, they didn’t. Not sure what you are talking about with "similar situations".... as MSU and Cincinatti didnt have their 3rd string QB playing.
You then say "they didnt want blowouts or uncompetitive games"... which means you dont think FSU is good either. The metric is the 4 best teams, the the 4 with the best records.
@roaminglion I completely disagree. They lost their QB and Louisville had a bad loss in the meantime. I don’t think they ever had a real chance I think the time you mistakenly mean to “prove themselves” was the committee hoping Louisville would do their dirty work for them. Similar situation means MSU and Cincinnati weren’t the top four best teams that year but made it in. I don’t think FSU is a top four best team yet OSU lost their starting QB in 2014 and still made it. The committee moved the goalposts on FSU this year regardless of how you want to spin it. They should be in based on past precedent.
I think if FSU showed a competent QB last night they were in. They didnt. QB #2 and QB #3 were huge drop offs from Travis. That's why they are out. Plain and simple.@roaminglion I completely disagree. They lost their QB and Louisville had a bad loss in the meantime. Ohio State was on QB #3 in 2014. They proved with their backup they could still put up 59 points and look dominant. The CFP moved them up because of it.
@roaminglion Ray Charles could see this SEC championship game coming and the implications of it. The playoffs have always had a SEC team and now it always will. There’s more ratings and money in the SEC than watching a scrub FSU team play. Just call it what it is but don’t try to justify it. FSU should be in.
This is absolutely corrupt...There is no other conclusion you can come to...You have a power 5 team that is an unbeaten conference champion and denied a chance to compete for a National Championship because some "committee" decides that not one but TWO 1 loss teams "look better"...You are in absolute denial if you believe this baloney...#1 Texas and Bama already played a game...Bama lost...In there own building by double digits...Why do I need to see a repeat of that? I am not interested in a game that was already played...They did this same bullshit to UCF a few years back...Another undefeated team...They just so happened to beat the team that beat the so called national champ...It's a farce...I stopped watching this beauty contest years ago and certainly won't be watching this one either...There are too many instances and "coincidences" of missed calls or phantom calls to perpetuate the outcome they desire to think this is on the up and up...That no call on that obvious targeting on the key player in the game told me all I needed to know...When these people show you time and again what they are up to believe em...This is a rigged deal...I am done with it...
@the-funeral-director you better show your butt back in here after Alabama puts an ass kicking on Michigan FD. The CFP committee did everything possible to help Washington and Texas leaving Georgia out lol…..we need a 12 team FD this year
I won't be watching this garbage anymore...I am done with this farce...Alabama shouldn't be in...You have 3 undefeated conference champs and texas beat them in their own building...Why do they get a do over at the expense of a team that did everything asked of them...They went out and won every game? Sorry...This is a farce...I called it...The officials rig the games...It's all choreographed for who the money wants to win...I will bet heavy on Bama and Texas because the money wants them to win to prove they were "right" to put em in in the first place...Watch the officiating...I am sure it will be even worse than the Georgia/Ohio State game last year...I am done...I like honest sports and this ain't that anymore...This is a contrived farce...
I hate to remind you Southern but Georgia played a game yesterday and lost...Why should they be in? They aren't a conference champion and they lost a game? There are 3 undefeated conference champions...They all should be in with Texas...If it was an honest system that would be your 4 teams...But they bastardize the whole process to make it much more complicated than it needs to be...This is simple folks...The problem is the money people don't like how it played out so they want to rig it for their benefit and they did...Wake up and see it for what it is...
That's actually false. TV ratings go up when different teams play. Georgia or Alabama in the CFP leads to lower TV ratings, not higher. No one outside of those fanbases wants to see them again. Numbers bear that out so your premise is flawed.@roaminglion Ray Charles could see this SEC championship game coming and the implications of it. The playoffs have always had a SEC team and now it always will. There’s more ratings and money in the SEC than watching a scrub FSU team play. Just call it what it is but don’t try to justify it. Back when Clemson and Alabama kept making it, TV ratings went down every year. The public wants variety, not the same teams
There are 4 undefeated FBS conference champions actually.I hate to remind you Southern but Georgia played a game yesterday and lost...Why should they be in? They aren't a conference champion and they lost a game? There are 3 undefeated conference champions...They all should be in with Texas...If it was an honest system that would be your 4 teams...But they bastardize the whole process to make it much more complicated than it needs to be...This is simple folks...The problem is the money people don't like how it played out so they want to rig it for their benefit and they did...Wake up and see it for what it is...
I don't give a shit about TV ratings...What isn't false is that ESPN is in bed with the SEC...They push em hard in football and they push the ACC in basketball...Ummm has anybody beat FSU this year? Until somebody beats them they are undefeated...At least they didn't lose by double digits in their own building...This is a farce...You are just a bama guy...It's ok...I am for honest competition not some contrived beaty contest decided by some committee set up by the money guys to decide something that was already decided and would take any normal 5 year old 2 minutes to figure out...You have 3 undefeated conference champions and Texas beat Bama head to head...So you put the 3 undefeated conference champions in and Texas...Not that tough to figure out...Unless you have ulterior motives which obviously the money people do...Enjoy watching your lipstick pigs...I got better things to do then watch a rigged setup...
@roaminglion weird 22 million people watched Georgia vs Alabama play yet only 17 million people watched TCU vs Georgia in the last two NC. There goes your different team premises. I know you’re a high level sports analyst but you’re not as right as you think you are. Your liberty argument is just plain stupid and you should never even repeat it.

LOL, the fact that you think I was "arguing" for Liberty to be in speaks volumes.
Also, TCU vs Michigan had 22 million viewers. So now what?
FD I do agree with you on Florida St. they should’ve gotten in they got hosed.
@roaminglion Oh I know you think circular arguments are a fancy ways of winning debates. You just look silly comparing Liberty to anyone in the Power 5.
Guess what the highest rating CFP game was? Oregon vs. Ohio State with 34 million viewers.@roaminglion weird 22 million people watched Georgia vs Alabama play yet only 17 million people watched TCU vs Georgia in the last two NC. But sure, that 22 million game sure proves people love the SEC making it all the time
