Man I hope my Dirty Birds can get this dude. I believe we’ll become a Super Bowl contender if we land him.  Atlanta Falcons have some good players we just need a QB.

As a Steeler fan, I don’t know if I want you to get him or have him stay in Baltimore. He hasn’t won jack squat in Baltimore. 1 playoff win total as a starter and he is hurt almost every year. The Dolphins gave the league the blueprint on how to beat him last year. Rush everyone. He can’t make a decision and beat you that way. He’s overrated in my mind and I don’t understand all the hype around him. 0 conference titles and 0 SBs. Besides that, the XM guys said the crows can franchise tag him the next two years and see if he can turn the corner. If he does, he gets a contract, if he doesn’t he’ll be gone. Problem for Baltimore is they sold out and structured the whole offense around him and his game.

Baltimore's offensive roster is god awful, they're completely inept without him at QB. That's some reason why he hasn't won alot... they have nothing for him to work with on that side of the ball.

Just watching them play offense you get the sense that the OC just says "hey we have to pass, so Lamar you just go run around until someone gets open"

@roaminglion Respectfully disagree. They have had a pretty good OL the whole time he has been there, an above average running game, an All-Pro TE and Marquis Brown at WR. Brown got so frustrated with the lack of passing game last year he requested a trade. His talents were being wasted in a run first offense structured around Lamar. If he’s the great player every one wants to anoint him as being, he should have more than 1 playoff win as a starter. He doesn’t show up in big games.

@roaminglion And if what you say is true, then I sincerely hope (as a Steeler fan) that they give him the massive guaranteed contract he wants so they can’t pay offensive skill players to stay there or sign FAs. They did it with Flacco. We will see if they are dumb enough to do it again?

@lionbacker99  I don’t keep up with the NFL rosters on each team but I’ve heard the same thing roam said from a lot of the so called experts. I believe he’s pretty dang good from the 7 or 8 games I’ve watched him play and it looks like he makes Baltimore offense look much better than it is. We need a QB in Atlanta and I believe he’ll fit right in.

Man you’re living in dreamland. Your Falcons are one of the worst ran teams in the NFL and Baltimore is consistently one of the best , if he can’t win a playoff game with the Ravens he sure as hell isn’t going to in Atlanta either.

I don’t follow the NFL religiously like I used to but as a Steeler fan I’ll say the same thing LB99 said, I hope he stays in Baltimore forever and handcuffs them financially as the most overpayed player in the NFL.  I want him to stay in Baltimore but do believe they will let him go, they are too smart of a franchise to get fooled into overpaying a QB again.

@psujoe we won 7 games this year with  bad QB play. We got a pretty good team we just need a QB. We had a chance to win most of the games we lost we lost a lot of close games.

@lionbacker99 Yeah, and Marquis Brown had his best year as a pro his last year in Baltimore. This year? Almost career worsts across the board.

Not exactly a great decision on his part.

@lionbacker99 Also... he is their leading rusher. He is the reason they have an above average running game in the first place.

@roaminglion Brown was hurt this year. Of course his numbers were down. You are falling into the trap of thinking because he is the leading rusher on the team he is really good. Why do you think he runs? Because he is inadequate in standing in the pocket and throwing the ball accurately like most successful NFL QBs. He has had a superior OL in Baltimore lead by All Pros Ronnie Stanley and Marshal Yanda (8x Pro Bowler). He also has one of the best TEs in football. Now, because he choses to run so much, he is frequently hurt and misses games. If you guys think he is so good, so be it. I think he is overrated. The stat that matters most to teams, playoff record, he is 1-3 on a team with a great defense. All he needs to do is be efficient on offense and the defense will give them a chance to win. Regular season stats don’t tell the whole story on players. Leading the team in tough games do. For that, I hope Baltimore backs up the Brinks truck for him. It will be a big mistake. Regardless, he isn’t leaving there right now. They will franchise tag him for next year and see if he can stay healthy.

I believe he’s worth giving up a first and second round draft pick for Atlanta but I wouldn’t give up what Minnesota did for H-Walker. Atlanta ain’t got nothing to lose because we don’t have a QB.

I've seen the games, and think the OC sucks and stubbornly keeps doing the same things over and over. Did the same thing with Kaepernick in SF... Run the ball and when you have to pass hope that the QB runs around and makes a play. Roman is not a passing game coach, he's a OL coach that has dynamic QBs to make up for lack of passing game.

Funny thing is I dont think they should sign Jackson either. However, I do think he's much better than you're giving him credit for. That said, not worth what he's asking.

He's also not "choosing to rum so much"... half the time he's running a called QB rush or keeping on an option play. Again, because the OC sucks at planning a dynamic passing game. Always has.

@rip I don't know Bob. I've heard Clifford didn't bother to give chalkboard instruction/help to the other OB's during PSU games. Sounds like he's one selfish SOB!

I will never understand why. Dude has 2 maybe 3 games in the SEC where he threw for over 250 yards. Over half were sub 200.
