Retiring a number is ridiculous in the first place. It was the player who was great not the number. Hang his or her shirt in the arena or field.

@psugrad81  I actually agree with 81 the more I think about it. Do something special with a helmet and jersey at the stadium and front office like NASCAR does. NASCAR doesn’t retire numbers. Carter still needs to build his own legacy. Good idea 81

I’m hearing we might pick up a good LB’r from NCAR from my son. I tried to put it here but I’m not on X or Facebook and I can’t post it here.

When does the transfer portal close? That’s where we might get this dude.

NCAR has racked up in the portal doing some damage to us so if we do get a LB’R from there it would be nice. Belichick has kicked some butt in building the roster.

I'd love to get both Campbell form UNC and Toure from Rutgers. Toure is a slam dunk athletic talent with one big "if"... injuries. I think he's a better LB than Campbell, but it's a big risk after 2 ACL tears. However, both would really solidify the LB depth and mitigate the injury risk with Toure.

I think we have a big shot at both.

I mean, just look at Toure's stats the year after he tore his ACL in 2022: 92 tackles, 10 TFLs, 4.5 sacks for a pretty good Rutgers defense. Then he tore his ACL again. Ooof
