More and more I think he's a redshirt, because he's still not on the three deep roster for Illinois and he played this past week. It seems his injury has him behind enough that unless they REALLY need him for some reason, I don't know why you'd burn a redshirt on him

He can play 4 games without burning his RS, right?

Per the NCAA; a new rule allows players to compete in up to four games before burning their redshirt.

Yes, 4 games.  He's only played 1 so far, and if he doesn't play against Ohio State or Michigan State I'm wondering what the point would be to burn his redshirt that far into the season.

I would think we'd be rolling along pretty well with the WRs we have at that point.

So if he plays at Illinois and not OSU or MSU, I think we'd see him again against a team like Rutgers and that's it.
