See, this is what irks me. The BIG10 made a decision to cancel football thinking they would lead the way and others would follow....wrong! Now that they have seen other conferences moving forward, received a plan from the Universities (over the weekend) showing how they can move forward safely, they have yet to breathe a word. Just how hard is this? Are the going to play or not? Just tell us. Tell us they are planning to reverse their decision (or not) and/or is it just a matter of logistics at this point. It would stand to reason that after their first bonehead move they would try to redeem themselves quickly!
Good grief! The only thing I am hearing right now is that they ARE planning to kickoff 10/17 and schedules are being drawn up now....and I don't consider this a reliable source. I just hope this is the case.
Go State!
2 OSU stars , also tired of waiting, opted out today If 10 more opt out, you guys may have a chance against them 😉
we lost Parsons probably our best player I hope the buttholes running the big 10 are satisfied because they’re hurting Big 10 football. Pittsburgh, Temple and high school are playing but the big 10 is sitting home watching lol....what’s up with the struggle with Duke CT?
It's been going around all day everywhere that an announcement to play is imminent.

Also just a bit ago the supposed credible source on audibles message board posted this...
Per Source:
The Big 10 has held the vote to bring football back, and it passed with ease, according to multiple reports.
It's a done deal. Big 10 football is back. Today is a great day to be an American.
At this point what are they playing for? Surely not going to be allowed to play for a NC with the other conferences, so I guess just a Big Ten title?
I've said it before, it will be nice to see them play but this whole year is a asterisk glorified pre-season for 2021 to me.

The talk going around is that if they can start the season by mid October then it will be finished in enough time to figure in the playoff selection. I get skeptical about it with all the dragging feet. I think they should just decide either way already. I guess starting the season is the easy part but finishing it is the challenge.
@southern-psu-fan...Struggle with Duke? I dont consider two TDS a struggle, but it was rather lack lustre..Some rust, which with the disruptions in practice, unfortunately I think we'll see a lot of shaky football this yr southern Hope it improves..
Also lost two high quality receivers, Claypool, and Kmet, who I underestimated their loss, (both in NFL) plus third receiver graduated THus we're all new, and inexperienced at receiver, it may take a while to click..New RB also..
@roaminglion..On the Paul Finebaum show today, he said its very possible if the big 10 starts 10/17, and p'ays an 8 game schedule, that the conference will probably be able to be a participant in the 4 team playoff..
The way I look at it is it is only Sept 16th and there is a very good possibility the season could come to a halt at anytime. I personally think it will be a challenge for any one conference to get their entire season in without any disruptions. It is going to be week by week the entire year and hopefully there is no major outbreak as we get into the flu season. If each conference can get through the season and play a championship game, that is all we can hope for. Pick the top 4 teams and play for a NC.
As far as I am concerned, keeping your players healthy, the players being smart and staying out of COVID19 potential situations is all part of the deal this year. Winning on and off the field is part of the game this year....IMO! These are young kids, they are going to make dumb decisions, but if they want to be National Champions, then they are going to need to make some sacrifices to ensure they stay clean and healthy as much as possible.
I keep hearing coaches stating we need to give these kids a chance to pursue their dreams as professional football players. If this is the case, then these players need to be sitting at home and not going out in public putting themselves in harms way!!
Fingers crossed Penn State gets to play and we get a season in. I think it can happen, but it is going to take some real dedication on the players part!
GO STATE!
Interesting... still eligible for NC if we get on the field quick.
Thanks for the info!
I saw on PennLive that Pat Friermuth said he never opted out of the season and will play. Is it possible for Parsons to change his mind and play too? Not saying he might, but if he wanted to, could he? Anyway, it's great that we'll have some real football to watch!
i thought I read where a LSU player changed his mind and now he’s now playing if I read it right bob. Goods news today bob we gettin some Penn State football brother and now Kevin Warren is off my chit list. I may be to forgiving bob because we ain’t gettin 12 games lol
As you always say, Southern - "Just win baby!"

Bob,
I read that he has already retained an agent Andre Odom which negates his eligibility.
@southern-psu-fan Good to see the Big 10 back southern..I guess we'll have to wait till 10/24, and a lot can happen before then with team/player disruptions..but it sure be nice to wake up 10/24 to a full slate of games
#2 gets us a win, GT wins and now we get Penn State football navylion it’s been a great week. My Falcons situation is what it is I’m use to it lol I’ve pulled for the dirty birds my whole life and we ain’t had much to cheer about but I still love ‘em. I’m hoping I have my outside living space deck finished soon so I can watch the game outside while I grill 😁🇺🇸
@navylion I read there may be an exception because the BIG said it would not be changed the NCAA may give an exception. But did Micah opt out before the BIG decision, that may be different.

I would say it would be a possibility if he was still enrolled in school. But, I was under the impression he is not even in school at PSU and has been out in CA training.

Thanks for the info, Navy. Too bad, he'll surely be missed!
Parsons will surely be missed, but man o man have we stocked some really good talent at LB! Next man up
I hope you're right Roam. The potential is there, but you know what they say about potential......
