According to the article at the link below, James Franklin has the 6th highest buyout with a value of $56,666,667 as of Dec 1st 2024.

I added a poll question as a test of the Poll feature.

In other news, divorce is expensive because it is worth it.

It's easy to scream for someone's job, what's usually overlooked is what's your plan after he's fired. Who you going to go get?

Yea like that’s gonna happen. Like I told you guys hundreds of times the Penn State fanbase is complacent and as long as clowns like psu81 is part of the base with his “oh well, they tried” attitude nothing will ever happen and we will never win any type of championship. PSU won’t win until the fanbase rises up and demands they do.

Yes, I am sure that our AD is taking marching orders from psu81 or PSUJoe.

Fans don't matter, no one is going to care what some fan thinks. And no one is going to organize a mass walkout and leave the stands empty. Those two things aren't happening.

If big time donors and boosters demand it, that's something else entirely.

I would be, though I doubt it. Others wouldn't I'm sure. Lol

@roaminglion BS, if the stadium is only half full I guarantee the AD would notice but it will never happen at PSU because as I said we are a complacent fanbase.

Yeah, I said that a mass walkout aint happening. Not realistic... I guess you missed that part of my post.

In what fanbase would that happen?

For comparison, the buyout for Marcus Freeman is reported to be under $4M.  A Screenshot is pasted below.

Probably because he was a first time head coach on his first contract. Your link is from before his contract extension in early December...

And that new buyout ain't 4 million.

Asking for his job with a historical 13 win season which included two playoff wins to go their first ever semifinal during their first playoff appearance is nonsensical. I agree theirs adjustments that need made but let’s be realistic here.

@kularrow I’m a Steeler fan but really haven’t followed the NFL for years and Mike Tomlin is the reason why.

Should have, could have beat ND.  But PSU did not.  One of the last 4 standing.  Not great but pretty damn good.  Yeah, let's get rid of Franklin.  Maybe Les Miles or Scott Frost or even Charlie Weiss is looking for a job because Ryan Day isn't coming to State College.  No I'm not over Thurs. game.  Sorry for my rants & nothing personal to you guys.

Ryan Day is nothing more than a good coach who took over an incredible roster and committed support structure. Put him at Michigan State and he's not turning them into a power. Just my opinion. He doesn't outcoach people, he just has better players.
