Interesting idea, apparently Franklin thinks if there is a Spring Season that they could use domes to host some Big Ten games every weekend. So...
Detroit would host PSU vs. MSU / UM vs. OSU / RU vs. Maryland
Minneapolis hosts Iowa vs. NU / Minnesota vs. Wisky
Indianapolis hosts IU vs. Purdue / Illinois vs. Northwestern
All different times, probably 12:00 pm and later games like 5:00 pm. Then have one on Sunday as the premier matchup or something.
It's an interesting concept, but ultimately I think it would be too close to the Fall season and kids would burn out.
I respect Franklin’s commitment to his players. What really hurts is that 2020 was a season with a lot of promise for our Nittany Lions.
James Franklin’s idea is worth considering but there are a lot of smart reasons to avoid a spring season.

Fall seasons are meant for football and football is meant for fall seasons.

I'm surprised we haven't heard of a rush of players entering the transfer portal so they can play the game.

I wish I knew what was the right call, but that's above my pay grade..But if the ACC, BIG12, SEC pull this off, a big if granted, the BIG wont come out too well..

Dr Fouci has not said not to play college football and we have 3 power 5 conferences going to play as of today so that tells me the little 10 and little PAC 12 should play. If the EXPERT Dr Fouci says we shouldn’t play college football then I’ll change my mind. Dr Fouci is the expert in these situations and people should listen to him.

I love the way James Franklin walks out of the tunnel with his plays. James Franklin loves the players he’s one of my favorite coaches ever and I hope he’s at Penn Stste for a long time.

Why would he take a pay cut?? Being a head coach is a lot more than just playing on Saturdays. PSU offered him a contract and he signed it. Hell, Im one of JF's harshest critics but even I can see he's fullfilling his contractual obligations.
As for the season tickets; I dont have an issue with that either. We were given three options to choose from that seemed fair and viable to me. It's my understanding that the licensing fee is tax deductible this year only......so there's at least that.
Sure, people are gonna gripe, bitch and moan about things but we're ALL in this together. I dont mind missing this season in order to insure my kids and grandkids get to enjoy PSU football long after I'm gone.

Damn I'd love to sit down with you over a beer and quietly slap that notion out of your head that this Dr. Fauci "Is the man!". He is an expert in infectious diseases. Not society, economics, psychology, you name the ology. His info regarding the virus should be believed, but then the Adult in the room needs to determine what is best for the country as a whole. No matter what we do, people will either catch this, or they are immune to it. 99% of those that do catch it, recover quite nicely, just like any other strong flu. Take precautions for the 1% at risk, and move along, nothing to see here. So am I buying you a local brew IPA sort of thing, or a Budweiser?
