I shut it down and brought it back. I made the mistake of starting a topic. I am sure you all know that when you start a topic you get notified every time someone adds to that topic. That's not a problem when the comments are on topic. Unfortunately most often the comments go off topic and many time there occurs a pissy back and forth between two or more folks having nothing to do with the topic.
@psugrad81 Thanks 81. Learned something new, but I'm thinking using it is still above my pay grade. & nope, I've never been notified if/when someone adds to my initiated topic.

I do know that when you start a new topic, there's a checkbox to "subscribe" to the topic. If it's checked, try unchecking it and you shouldn't get notifications for new posts.
