It has been 19 years since Beaver Stadium hosted two top 10 teams playing each other. 19 YEARS!!! And everyone is quiet as a Christmas Mouse.
I hope the heck our Defense is not this quiet Saturday night! Let's go people! Most of us on the site will be pushing posies if we have to wait another 19 years for a match up like this!
McSorely and Co is going to get it rocking early and all night long! I think the defense is going to feed off the crowd and play their hearts out!

Im excited for the game but my excitement has tempered down a bit as the years roll by. Will I be watching the game Sat nite? Absolutley!! Some years ago going to HV to watch a game was an event for me. Our entire fall was planned around making the drive down there in our RV and tailgating with friends and family. When our boys won, it was cause for a celebration and when they came up short, well......it was a quiet solemn ride back up here to Maine.
By about 4pm on Saturday I'll start to get my game face on and be ready to cheer our boys on come gametime but for now, im just kinda like MEH, its still Tuesday and we've got a long way to go until Saturday evening.
But, that doesnt mean I dont take pride in the enthusiasm that many of you all show on here week in and week out. I read a lot of what you post and come to realize that that was me not too very long ago. So, SPF, FD, Roam, BDC, and all you guys that exchange the banter back and forth during the games.......keep it up but please respect one another's opinions........I really enjoy what MOST of you on here have to say (even you Remoh), so dont change a thing.
We Senile old farts have passed the torch on to you younger bucks and I take comfort in knowing that our program is in good hands with the support that you show. To steal a line from The Who: "The kids are alright".

Tsuga - that was just a down right well written response! Being from the State College area, I am fortunate enough to still have my in laws and parents healthy and a place to stay for home games. I doubt your senile, just full of knowledge and knowing when to keep quiet. I have a hunch deep down in side that torch is still burning and you will have one heck of a Sunday morning breakfast/coffee if the Penn State goes to 5-0! I am just full of energy, love what has been going on with the team over the past few years and just thankful for what the coaching staff and players have brought us on Saturdays.
I will get a good night sleep Friday night and I will make sure the energy I bring is enough for both us! It will just be like you there are! LOL
