That next week we are going to see Justin Shorter out there playing, I believe he dressed for Pitt but was still a bit banged up.
I would bet that we'd see a heavy does of Parsons / Luketa next week too. I just have this belief that after seeing everything the first two weeks, those two are destined to be the starters for a long time. Just need reps, and Kent State / Illinois provides a good opportunity for experience.
As for Shorter, with Thompkins not doing much in the passing game the first two weeks I think the sport is his for the takings. Polk / Hippenhammer are good backups but Shorter is on another level (from all reports)
I wondering if the intent might also be to hold them back until the OSU game?? If they don't play them yet, OSU has no film to use to prepare for both Stevens and Shorter. The next few weeks are going to be interesting to say the least. I also agree that its time to pick our three LB's and go from there.
Has anyone heard whats up with Journey Brown??
Is Parsons ok? What I saw Saturday night didn't look good...I hope he is ok...
Yes, he is fine. He actually tweeted out an "all good" earlier today because lots were worried. He said he's fully ready for a week of practice to prepare for Kent State
I think I'd rather have Shorter get some reps before the OSU game than hold him out in hopes of fooling somebody on game day.
