Jumping,  landing on your head. It comes back to bite, just as he fumbled.

Blame it on Billy "white shoes" Johnson.

I don’t much care for it either. Paterno used to tell his players to act like they had been there before. Times are a changing though. I’m guessing you have to allow it to attract the top recruits.

It’s the unsportsmanlike conduct and personal fouls that get under my skin lake. The showboating I can deal with as long as it’s not in the other teams players face. It’s fun sometimes.

This ole warhorse don't like it...This is a result of ESPN cultivating this nonsense for clips for their sportscenter shows...In my day if you pulled any of this nonsense you got earholed in football, knocked down or beaned in baseball or accidently caught an elbow to the beak in basketball...In my day you didn't pull this kind of nonsense...As a matter of fact my freshman year in college I stepped into the batters box and started to dig in a little bit..The pitcher hollered at me not to get too comfortable in there cause I was going down...I saw 4 straight fastballs under the chin...Today you throw a little inside to these wimps wearing all the body armor and you would swear you shot em...You make a play go back to the huddle and get ready for the next one and cut out all the B.S....That is my 2 cents...

You're right Lake, I believe it was Widener in southeast PA near Chester.

Totally agree with you FD - maybe I am old school too, but this needs to end.  Become the school of class, dignity, and honor.  If a kid wants to do a dance, don't recruit him.  I will take a 3* athlete with honor, smarts, and respect before any showboat 5*

Our university and team could adopt this approach and still be a top caliber team - but this approach starts at the top down - and regretfully we do not have that currently.

I believe Titan is talking about the 2nd time Boobie went airborne leaping a defender, and ended up on his noggin - the time he lost the ball, but the refs ruled him down. The following posts had more to do with just your basic showboating that still occurs - some might say McSorely's Babeball swing thing he does is Showboating - to which I agree it is - don't need this stuff. As you said, that Joe said, act like you've been there before.

I'm not a warhorse like you two old farts are (im a stallion) but I still agree with you.  Back in high school we had a guy on our wrestling team lift his index finger to signify that he was #1 as the ref raised his hand in victory during a team tournament.  When it was his turn to wrestle his next bout our coach pulled him at the last minute resulting in a forfeit which went on his record as a loss.  He never did it again and the coach never said another word to anyone about it.....he didnt have to.

I could do without the baseball swing, the belly rub, and the all the other endless celebrations as well
