Southern, Your dirty birds got hosed yesterday That roughing the passer call on Brady was egregiously bad. The Falcons were about to get the ball back and have a chance to win. Absolutely awful. Why don’t they just wrap pretty boy Tom in bubble wrap and Charmin? Or maybe forbid anyone from touching him altogether? Total BS. These refs need to be held accountable That guy should be suspended for a week or two without pay. Or give the replay booth the authority to make him pick up the flag and wave it off. I give Jarret and the Falcons coach credit. I would have went full blown baseball kick dirt on home plate, spit at the ump, and throw all the bats on the field batshit crazy on that call.
This is nothing new, he's been getting preferential treatment forever. Nothing will happen to the ref and nothing will change.

This is why I get so infuriated when people call him the goat. It’s a insult to guys like Joe Montana, who were high character guys that didn’t have the rules slanted so far in their favor. Defenses were literally trying to hurt them and they succeeded despite that. This guy has training wheels on and has his whole career. Not to mention multiple cheating scandals that the league tried it’s best to sweep under the rug. Nothing to see here.

Good grief, are you watching the Raiders vs Chiefs game? I am a Raiders fan and the Chiefs just got called for roughing the passer that was even close!

As long as he has the ball, the QB should be as tackle-able as any other ball carrier. What's next, roughing the running back?
I believe the league probably stressed a crackdown on RtP after what happened to Tua. The result was a overreaction and two TERRIBLE calls resulted. Just no other way to put it, they were awful, awful calls.
Hopefully it will be addressed.
However, it's interesting that Tom Brady was involved again. It just always seems to be him, doesn't it? Which is funny, because on a podcast he spoke to the change and movement away from physicality in the NFL. He stated when he started in the NFL, being physical was a way teams could really equal out an more talented/skilled adversary. Named Pittsburgh as a group good at that, who were so physical that it negated the talent gap.
He then said that all the rule changes took away the ability to use physicality like that, and made skill/talent much more adventageous. It's so much harder in today's NFL to be "tough", because the rules really do favor skill and punish tough. He actually felt sad about it, even though it's probably benefitted him more than most.

I watched a little of the Steelers game and Pickett got hit hard towards the end of the game and although it was what used to be a legal hit if that had been Brady getting hit like that it most likely would have resulted in a big fine for the defender. The uneven enforcement of rules is part of the reason I can’t stand the NFL.
Stinking Refs, Atlanta needed that game. These games are to hard to win and the refs need to stay out of the way and let the players decide who wins!
